History[]

Built by the Russians in order to combat the Kaiju threat in the first Jaeger generation. It guarded the Siberian border for years without fail, and was the last of the Mark I Jaegers left standing when it was redeployed to the shatterdome. This would prove to be its last mission, as it fell in battle against Leatherback and Otachi. It was the third-last active Jaeger.

"Roll of Nickels", giant metal cylinders Alpha can grip to increase the power of its punches. It is said the environment shakes whenever Cherno Alpha throws a punch
Arms are spring loaded, or powered by hydraulics, allowing them to shoot forward
Z14 fists are powered by electrical cells, and can force 415kv of electricity into opponents
Incinerator Turbines - powerful shoulder mounted flamethrower-like weapons . They use the incendiary fuel contained in the reactor which Cherno uses to burn and sear flesh off kaiju

Command center is located at the heart of the Jaeger rather than in the head. This makes it more secure, but it lacks an escape mechanism
Killed four kaiju solo, and two with assistance

Weaknesses[]

Lacks an emergency escape mechanism for pilots
Deceptively fast, but still very slow for a Jaeger
Vulnerable to large amounts of corrosive acid
Presumably designed without much thought into radiation shielding for pilots, similar to other Mark I Jaegers.
