History[]

Fred Flintstone is the son of Ed and Edna Flintstone, having been born in the city of Bedrock. As a young man, he and his childhood friend, Barney Rubble, worked as bellhops at a resort. It was at this time that Fred met his future wife, Wilma, and Barney met his future wife, Betty. The girls were at the resort, working as cigarette girls.

Presently, Fred works as a bronto crane operator at a quarry owned by Slate Rock and Gravel Company (and previously owned by Rockhead and Quarry Cave Construction Company). Fred prefers the title of “Geological Engineer.” Fred and Wilma have a young daughter named Pebbles, and a pet dinosaur named Dino.

Fred has many sporting interests, including bowling, pool, golf and poker. Unfortunately, he does have a serious gambling problem, and just hearing the word “bet” can trigger a gambling binge. He is a long-time member of the local Loyal Order of Water Buffalos lodge.

Death Battle Info[]

Appearance[]

Fred is a somewhat portly man with black hair and a large nose. He wears a sleeveless tunic, which was made from the fur of an orange mammal with black spots, possibly a saber-toothed tiger (smilodon).

Powers and Abilities[]

While Fred appears to be heavy and out-of-shape, he is in fact surprisingly strong and athletic. On an every day basis, he drives heavy foot-powered cars made of stone, he regularly survives getting rammed head-on by Dino, and he is capable of punching through boulders. When he went back to night school at Prinstone University, he was made the team’s quarterback and led it to victory. He is a also good, bare knuckles fighter.

Weapons and Equipment[]

Fred does not normally carry a weapon, but he does keep a very large club in his home. He has also at times user rock-slinging pistols and rifles.
