Description[]

Marvel vs. Fate. Rage empowers these two unstoppable behemoths.

Introduction[]

Wiz: The emotion of rage. In life, it can be a hindrance and a burden, but in battle, it can be someone's greatest weapon.

Boomstick: The Hulk, Marvel's fury-powered heavy-hitter.

Wiz: And Heracles, the Berserker class servant of Illyasviel von Einzbern.

Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Hulk[]

Wiz: The mind of one Bruce Banner was certainly an unusual one.

Boomstick: I'll say. I'm not usually one to give praise to a guy's intelligence, because anyone who's smart in a nerd, but Bruce had a pretty big head on his shoulders, even when he was a young boy.

Wiz: Well I agree with that proclamation, but there was another part to Bruce's psyche than his intelligence, and it was thanks to his dad.

Boomstick: Turns out, he thought Bruce was a monster because of how frickin' intelligent he is. Man, I can imagine being called a nerd when your super smart, but a monster? Harsh. I bet no-one else knows what that's like. No-one.

Wiz: Hrrmm...anyway, to cope Bruce came with an imaginary friend to serve as a means of out-letting all his pent up aggression and rage.

Boomstick: Didn't seem to do a good job though, considering that when Bruce became a scientist, he agreed to help construct a bomb that only targeted people as opposed to buildings, fueled by the radiation gamma.

Wiz: It was on the day it was to be tested that Bruce would be forever changed. Due to rushing out to rescue an interloper on the testing site, Bruce was caught in the bomb's blast radius and received a massive dose of gamma radiation which ended up changing his DNA. From that day on, the Hulk had been born.

  • Background
    • Other Identities: Bruce Banner, Grey Hulk, Devil Hulk, Professor Hulk
    • Height: 8’8
    • Mutated by gamma radiation
    • Member of the Avengers
    • Likes dogs and the desert
    • You wouldn't like him when he's angry

Boomstick If you think you get angry, you haven't seen angry until you see the massive ball of rage the Hulk is. It's actually kind of appropriate all things considered.

Wiz: You remember Bruce's imaginary friend? Well, Bruce's new transformation was essentially a means for it to manifest in the real world, with it being the mindset of the Hulk. And the two of them despised the other, often fighting each other for control over their body.

Boomstick: No duh, they were pretty much each other's polar opposite; Banner was the smart nerdy type, the Hulk was the rampaging jock.

Wiz: Actually it's more from the fact that Banner was constantly looking for a way to undo the Hulk's existence and the Hulk made it impossible for Banner to live a stable life. This is because whenever Banner grows angry or upset, he transforms into the Hulk, who pretty quickly made himself known as potentially the most powerful and dangerous being on the planet.

  • Powers and Abilities
    • Superhuman strength
    • Superhuman speed
    • Superhuman durability
    • Healing factor
    • Gamma radiation emitting
    • Strength increases with rage
    • Thunderclap
    • World Breaker

Boomstick: Because first and foremost, the Hulk is strong. Really strong. As in, super-duper ultra-strong.

Wiz: Once more I'm inclined to agree here. We've covered a lot of combatants with super strength, but the Hulk's the real MVP when it comes to physical might. With a single punch, he is easily capable of cracking the ground, tear through military vehicles with ease and once even lifted a 1-billion ton mountain.

Boomstick: And with strength comes his toughness and a wicked healing factor that can rival Wolverine's on occasion.

Wiz: Whilst the Hulk cannot fly, his incredible jumping ability helps him to make up for this, capable of covering fast distances with a single bound.

Boomstick: Helps that he can get a wicked head start thanks to his speed. Guy evidently doesn't skip leg day.

Wiz: The Hulk's bread and butter in fighting is often to wail on his opponents until they're little more than dust, but he does have a special technique under his shredded purple pants; the Thunderclap. By slapping both his hands together, the Hulk unleashes what essentially amounts to a localized sonic boom, capable of blowing away nearly anything and deafening opponents. And don't forget, since his entire body was irradiated by gamma, the Hulk is a near-constant source of the stuff.

Boomstick: He's like Godzilla in a lot of aspects, what with being mutated rage-filled behemoths. And speaking of which, rage is in fact the Hulk's greatest ally in battle. Because as the saying goes, the angrier he gets, the stronger he gets, meaning his power could immeasurably increase.

Wiz: Well if that is in fact possible it wouldn't be accurate to say he gets stronger as he gets angrier, since it's emotionally impossible for a person to grow ever-increasingly angry. I'd say it's more accurate to say that his strength increases the longer he remains angry.

Boomstick: Say whatever you want about it, because basically it boils down to rage=strength for the Hulk.

Wiz: With such intense rage for him to handle, Banner decided to have the Hulk do some good as a member of the Avengers, who would help him temperate his intense anger for the greater good.

Boomstick: Hey, if I got to romance Black Widow, then I'd be willing to try a few breathing exercises. But the Hulk has found himself falling off the wagon numerous times, and one time he did, it was not pretty. Long story short involving getting transported to another planet, it led to Hulk unleashing his true might, which actually does exist.

Wiz: Whenever Banner decides to fully relinquish his mental foothold on the Hulk persona, that is the cue for World Breaker to be unleashed.

Boomstick: The World Breaker Hulk is essentially everything Hulk is and more. Pulsing with gamma radiation and reaching unreal levels of power, World Breaker allows the Hulk to battle against the likes of the Sentry, AKA Jekyll and Hyde Superman.

  • Feats
    • Destroyed a meteor twice Earth’s size
    • Leapt out of Earth’s orbit
    • Tanks hits from the likes of Thor and Sentry
    • Pulled tectonic plates back together
    • Regenerated half his body
    • Defeated Thor, Abomination, Juggernaut, the One-Below-All

Wiz: Even without the World Breaker, Hulk does just fine in that regard normally and then some. Like the time he destroyed an asteroid twice the size of planet Earth. Something like that would require 86 yottatons of TNT. That's 24 zeroes.

Boomstick: And that was as Grey Hulk, one of his many different personalities. The main Hulk is known as the Savage Hulk by the way.

Popup: This isn’t an early comic outlier either; Hulk scales to characters like Thor who are capable of breaking planets, and he once destroyed a planet himself.

Wiz: The Hulk has had many of his battles as the Savage Hulk, including against fellow Marvel heavy-hitters.

Boomstick: Like Thor, god of thunder and fellow Avenger, Abomination, who's hatred of the Hulk drives him instead of anger and Juggernaut, someone who's often regarded as being only second to him in terms of sheer destructive appetite.

Wiz: A destructive appetite that has actually landed the Hulk in hot water a lot of times.

Boomstick: That's where I'll agree with you. Most of the time Hulk has the power to back up his various tantrums, but it has led even his closest allies to walk on eggshells most of the time.

Wiz: It even led Tony Stark to create various Hulkbuster Armors as contingency plans to combat the Green Goliath, and although they often fall in due time to the Hulk, they have on occasion proved that the Hulk can be beaten.

Boomstick: Usually a smarter opponent can figure out a way to trap him and anyone capable of matching him, at least initially, can sometimes overtax his healing factor, wearing him out to turn him back into cool-ranch dorito Bruce Banner. But there is an issue with pulling that off; you actually have to be able to survive against the Hulk.

Wiz: Whenever he's a monster or a hero, the Hulk is someone you never want to make angry. Because you wouldn't like him when he's angry...

Berserker/Heracles[]

Wiz: In spite of having come to an explosion and harrowing end, the aftermath of the 4th Holy Grail War was not forgotten, even carrying on into the 5th Holy Grail War.

Boomstick: My god, of course! Because 5th comes after 4th!

Wiz: Y...yes, because that's how...oh forget it, it's pointless to explain anything about order to you. One participant of the 4th Holy Grail War, Kiritsugu Emiya the Magus Killer, had a daughter named Illyasviel with the homunculus who was created to be the vessel of said Holy Grail of the war.

Boomstick: Sounds real complicated, I'm sure. I mean, Kiritsugu should have technically won if he was already married to the Holy Grail. But he didn't, and the price was never getting to see his daughter again. Oh, and getting poised to the point he only had a few years left to live.

Wiz: So he decided to adopt a kid, one Shirou, to pass on his ideals before he passed on. Unfortunately, Illyasviel never knew her father had been forced away from her, instead believing that he had decided to abandon and replace her, and so nursed a grudge against her adoptive brother.

Boomstick: So it made sense that when she entered the 5th Holy Grail War, her servant belonged to the Berserker class. And it wasn't just any servant; she got the most famous hero of all, Hercules.

  • Background
    • Height: 8’3
    • AKA Raging Destroyer
    • Heroic Spirit in the 5th Holy Grail War
    • Class: Berserker
    • Summoned by Illyasviel von Einzbern
    • Qualifies for every Servant class barring Caster

Wiz: Actually Heracles. The Fate series is rather particulate about accurately portraying historical figures as they were in their original lives, aside from having several of them as woman instead of men as they described as. Don't blame us, blame Anime rules.

Boomstick: Shall do. Anyway, with the great Greek hero at her back, Illyasviel entered the Grail War to battle against its other contenders, including her bro Shirou. But enough about her, because we're gonna talk about Hercules.

Wiz: Heracles. And you're only interested in discussing him because he's basically a giant ball of rage.

Boomstick: Well duh, that's what makes him so awesome, and his tantrums actually hold merit. Since he was summoned as the Berserker Class, his entire shtick was boosted by the Mad Enhanced.

  • Powers and Abilities
    • Superhuman strength
    • Superhuman speed
    • Superhuman durability
    • Superhuman agility
    • Supernatural luck
    • Mad Enhancement
    • Bravery
    • Battle Continuation
    • Eye of the Mind

Wiz: The Mad Enhancements have the effect of reducing Heracles' ability to think and act rationally in exchange for boosting his parameters, basically the ranking system for the different attributes of Fate servants.

Boomstick: Nearly all of his parameters ended up boosted to Rank A and A-star, including his strength and endurance. And a lot of strength he has. In fact in the Fate novelization, it was stated that a single blow from him would be capable of destroying a mountain.

Wiz: Heracles is also incredible agile and quick on his feet in spite of his towering height and bulk, which is helped by his Eye of the Mind ability.

Boomstick: You remember that Lancelot fella who was so skilled in his life that even as a Berserker he retained his skills in battle. Well Eye of the Mind enabled Heracles to do the same thing. Although it's not the real thing or something, the Eye allows Hercules-

Wiz: Heracles!

Boomstick: Whatever-les to analyze the situation about himself, take note of any danger and act accordingly in the most effective way possible.

Wiz: It also helps that Heracles has a degree of supernatural luck, with a B-Parameter in the subject matter, with servants of such Luck capable of avoiding getting their hearts destroyed by a heart-targeting spear.

Boomstick: That is lucky. He also has an additional ability known as Battle Continuation, which lets him keep trucking on in spite of damage as there's something left of him, but it's a one use thing. But honestly that's just a little treat in comparison to Heracles' best ability.

  • Noble Phantasms
    • God Hand: Twelve Labours
      • Type: Anti-Unit
      • Rank: B
      • Series of additional lives
      • Heals wounds
      • Becomes heavily resistance to what damaged him last
    • Nine Lives: Shooting the Hundred Heads
      • Type: Anti-Fortress/Anti-Unit
      • Rank: C to A*
      • A series of 100 overlapping attacks done in a near instant
      • Usable with any weapon (Uses Club)

Wiz: Inspired by his 12 Labors to atone for his crimes, the God Hand is a series of extra-lives that brings Heracles back to life upon being killed a total of eleven times.

Boomstick: And get this, every time he comes back to life, he ends up with a resistance to whatever it was that initially killed him. For example, use a lot of fire against him? He's become immune to it. You know something, it sounds like we're pitting Hulk against Doomsday again here.

Wiz: Well not exactly. Heracles doesn't exactly become outright invulnerability against what killed him. Rather, he becomes resistant against it to such a degree you'd need an immense amount of what killed him last for it to have any kind of effect on him.

Boomstick: Although he has only a limited number of extra lives, they will naturally recharge over a period of days. Still, this makes him nearly broken against most Servants in a one-on-one dual, because they'll need a way to kill him 12 different times, and few rarely do. He's come back from being blasted, burned, ripped apart, bombarded from multiple angles and nearly disintegrated, and just got madder than before.

Popup: God Hand is said to nullify attacks that are less than A-Ranked and this is in relation to other Noble Phantasms. However, there is evidence that non-Noble Phantasm means can be used to harm spirits, making the required ranking for damage inadequate for consideration.

Wiz: The God Hand also has its other uses. Due to Mad Enhancement, several of Heracles' other abilities has been sealed away, including his second Noble Phantasm. But by giving up nine of his extra lives, Heracles regains the use of Shooting the Hundred Heads. Oh, and the Bravery ability which increases his physical ability and ability to resist mental attacks.

Boomstick: Noble Phantasm first and foremost. StHH is inspired by the legend of Heracles killing the Hydra, taking the form of 100 slashes from his club that occur in a the very same instant.

Wiz: The intensity of this attack is described as being so great, it is capable of overwhelming the healing abilities of whomever it is used against.

  • Feats
    • Deflected weapons fired from the Gates of Babylon
    • Stated to be capable of destroying a mountain
    • Came back to life one last time after exhausting his additional lives
    • Lifted part of a stone tower
    • Took Caladbolg II without any damage
    • Defeated the Hydra, Archer, Shirou Emiya, Saber

Boomstick: And remember how powerful just one of those swings are? One was capable of destroying a mountain.

Wiz: Calculations for the Fate series on the VS wiki have placed their mountain busting capabilities in the 1.2 to 3 gigaton range.

Boomstick: The same calculations that show that Servants like Hercules-

Wiz: Heracles!

Boomstick: Oh fine! Servants like Heracles, can react at Mach 1100+ to deflect projectiles from Gilgamesh's Gates of Babylon (Reppuzan).

Wiz: Speaking of Gilgamesh, it was Heracles' battle against the fellow Demigod that finally saw his undoing in one of the Fate/stay night routes, as the unlimited Noble Phantasms Gilgamesh had access to enabled him to power through his God Hand.

Popup: It was stated that Heracles would be capable of single-handedly winning the 5th Holy Grail War. The only other servant said to be capable of doing this was Gilgamesh, who’s the most powerful Heroic Spirit in existence, and the only one who defeat Heracles in a true one-on-one dual.

Boomstick: Still, the fact it takes something of that level to take down Berserker in all three Fate routes just proves how powerful a servant he is.

Wiz: Oh, and to just impress you lot at home even more, Berserker is in fact Heracles' weakest class.

Boomstick:...Awesome.

Interlude[]

Wiz: Alright the combatants are set, time to end this debate once and for all.

Boomstick: It's time for a Death Battle!

The Battle[]

Bruce Banner ran through the forest, casting his eyes behind himself to make sure there was nobody perusing him. Breaking through the treeline, he found himself in front of a large mansion.

Bruce: Hello! Is anyone in there?

?: Yes there is.

Bruce looked up to see a young girl standing on the roof of the mansion, grinning down at him cheekily.

Illyasviel: And I'm afraid we don't allow for guests.

Bruce: We?

A large dark shape dropped down in front of him, sending a gust of wind blowing past him and throwing up a dust cloud. Banner looked up in surprise to see Berserker before him, glaring down at him. Bruce simply looked up at him and removed his spectacles, anticipating what would come next.

Bruce: Don't make me angry pal; you wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

Berserker growled and lifted his club before swinging it down at the man.

Only for it to be suddenly caught in a green, growing hand. As Illyasviel and Berserker looked on, the former more surprised than the latter, Bruce transformed into the Hulk, who roared and struck Berserker in the face, sending him sliding back in the face, but outwardly was unphased.

Illyasviel: Well, this may be a problem. Berserker, kill him!

Berserker took a stance with his club held pointed by his side as Hulk let out a roar.

FIGHT!

Hulk charged at Berserker, the servant countering the punch he swung with a swipe from his club. The two attacks collided to send out a massive shockwave from the point of impact, blowing away the trees behind Hulk and the metal gates to the mansion behind Berserker. Illyasviel ducked down on the roof at the shockwave as the two fighters began trading blows with the other. Hulk delivered numerous punches to Berserker whilst he swung his club to strike Hulk. Due to their high levels of durability, both started out tanking the blows the other dealt, but this formula was changed when Hulk raised his arm to block a club swing, allowing him to deliver a punch across Berserker's face. Berserker staggered back before Hulk bombarded him with a barrage of punches to the chest and face, but was able to duck beneath one of these punches and slash upwards with his club, cutting Hulk up the chest with the serrated edge before delivering a kick to his chest. Hulk stumbled back before getting beset upon by the servant, who delivered a series of strikes with his club. After receiving a strike to the face, Hulk glared at Berserker as his head was snapped to the side and barreled towards him, tackling his opponent to smash him through the walls of the estate, sending white brick flying everywhere. Continuing to charge forwards with Berserker in his grip, Hulk smashed through the fountain in the middle of the estate and into the opposing building, smashing through its wall and into the interior.

At this point, Berserker dug his feet into the ground behind him, bringing Hulk's charge to a juddering stop. Bringing his arms down between Hulk's, Berserker wrenched away Hulk's grip on him before swinging his club twice into his head. Hulk retaliated with a left hook that caused Berserker to spin around, but used the momentum to turn back around and swing his club upwards so that it slammed into Hulk's jaw. Hulk snarled and swung both his fists down at Berserker, forcing the servant to block with the flat of his club, sending cracks along the ground. Berserker used this to wrench Hulk's arms to the side so that he could deliver a backhand to Hulk's cheek. Hulk roared again and seized a hold of the wrist of the hand that had hit him before grabbing the club hand's wrist. Berserker attempted to pull himself free, but Hulk headbutted the servant, producing a shockwave before grinding their foreheads together. This lasted for a short while before the damage done to the floor, increased by the fact their feet were being pressured against the ground by the combat lock, became too much and it caved in, sending Hulk and Berserker free-falling down into the catacombs beneath the estate.

As they landed in the catacombs, Berserker's Eye of the Mind enabled him to take note of the rubble falling around them, and utilized it accordingly, using hits from his club to send them towards Hulk as missiles, bombarded the Hulk with them and forcing him to cross his arms in front of his face to defend. An extra large piece of rubble, about the time of Berserker, fell before the former and he propelled it towards Hulk with another strike from his club. This time, however, Hulk grabbed the piece of rubble and sent it back towards Berserker with a powerful punch. The servant rolled to the side to avoid the ballistic item, but the instant he had Hulk charged at him, punching him across the face twice before delivering an uppercut to his stomach, sending Berserker smashing through the roof of the catacombs, the surrounding earth and high into the air as his Master watched on in surprise.

Berserker smashed back down into the forest, scattering entire trees with the force of his impact. As he tried to push himself back up, a shadow fell over him.

Hulk: Smash!

Hulk bore down from the sky, swinging both his fists down onto Berserker's head, smashing it to a pulp against the ground. Hulk drew back up and turned to begin marching away from his downed opponent. A hissing sound reached his ears, and he turned back around to see Berserker climbing back to his feet, his crushed head regenerating to fix Hulk with his burning red eyes. Hulk gnashed his teeth and turned back around.

Hulk: Hulk hate puny people who don't stay smashed!

He bounded back over to Berserker to punched him three times in the face. Each time, the servant didn't even flinch, his adaptive ability enabling him to hold out. Hulk blinked in surprise before Berserker grabbed a hold of his face and smashed the back of his head into the ground, grinding it against the earth as he then dashed forward. Lifting the Hulk up, Berserker spun about and hurled Hulk through several trees, snapping their trunks in half before crashing into the ground. Hulk got back up quickly as Berserker advanced on him from behind, the former grabbing a hold of one of the fallen trees and swinging it around to bludgeon the servant. This smashed the full length of the tree to splinters so Hulk hurled the stumped end of the tree at the dazed Berserker, scoring a direct hit on him. The servant stumbled back before looking up to see Hulk leaping through the air towards him, a massive rock held in his hand to bring it down on his opponent.

From a bird's eye view, numerous impacts exploded across the forest as the two gargantuan fighters fought their way through the woodland. Berserker jumped backwards, smashing through several trees voluntarily in the process, as Hulk came at him with a downwards slam from his fists, forcing the former to jump back again to avoid getting flattened. Changing tactics, Hulk dug his fingers into the ground he had just punched his fists into, gripping it and ripping it upwards, uprooting a entire section of stone to try and tip it down onto the Servant. Before it could come fully down on him, Berserker jumped up and landed on the top of the slab, before jumping off it as it continued to tip forward. As he jumped down, Berserker delivered a double kick to Hulk's face. Hulk stumbled back before dodging backwards when Berserker swung his club downwards so that it ended up embedded in the ground in front of him. Hulk grinned savagely and stomped down on the weapon, trapping it further against the ground to leave Berserker vulnerable for him to deal a punch across his face. However, Berserker released his hold on the weapon and darted back from the punch, before countering by slamming the palm of his hand into Hulk's surprised face, cracking his nose and sending green blood flying. Berserker then delivered a series of punches into Hulk's face, causing more blood to fly out, before grabbing hold of both sides of Hulk's head and beginning to squeeze, intending to crush Hulk's skull. But Hulk swung his arms out to the side, knocking the arms of the servant aside in the process, before slapping his hands together in the Thunderclap, generating a massive shockwave that sheared away the vegetation of the woods, leaving behind nothing but earthy ground, and the flesh from around Berserker's bones. But like before, the skeleton's eyes pulsed and the flesh and skin grew around the frame of the servant. This whole reanimation process took less than a second, during which his hand shot out to grab the handle of his club which was sent flying by the Thunderclap, swinging it down onto the top of Hulk's head. However, it failed to pierce the skin enough, and Hulk glared hatefully at Berserker, rearing his head up to throw the servant backwards and deliver a kick to his chest, leaving a foot-shape imprint in his chest. Berserker skidded back, healing the crater in his chest once he stopped.

Hulk: Stupid grey thing!

Hulk charged back towards Berserker and punched him across the face, leading to the latter striking him in the face with his club. This one-by-one exchange of blows carried on for a while, sending out shockwaves through the air before Berserker blocked Hulk's punch with the club, bringing the exchange of blows to a halt. Hulk, however, gritted his teeth as his rage increased, and with a grunt he swung his blocked arm out, knocking the club aside and allowing him to deliver a punch into Berserker's gut. Berserker gagged up saliva before Hulk bombarded him with a barrage of punches, each one blowing massive chunks of flesh out of Berserker's body. In spite of the barrage of devastating strikes, Berserker simply glared at Hulk as his God Hand healed the wounds as quickly as they were inflicted. Hulk was so busy roaring as he repeatedly punched the servant, he didn't notice him bringing his club up until it was stabbed forward to impale him through the chest. Hulk's movements came to a stop and green blood leaked from his mouth as he sagged downwards to his knees. Berserker looked on impassively and was about to pull his club out when Hulk's hand suddenly shot out to grab his wrist.

Hulk: No more Banner...only Hulk now!

He glared back up at Berserker as his eyes and entire body flashed green, and he became the World Breaker. Standing back up to tower over the servant, Hulk delivered a powerful strike to Berserker, sending him flying backwards to crash across the landscape like a ragdoll. Upon coming to a stop, Berserker got back to his feet just in time to see Hulk charging towards him, tearing up the ground behind him as he did. Berserker attempted to bring his club up to strike Hulk, but the World Breaker was faster and got punched in the face before getting grabbed by the ankle and smashed into the ground repeatedly. In order to escape, Berserker swung his club through the ground to sweep a wave of dirt into Hulk's face, blinding him temporarily and allowing Berserker to pull himself free, rolling back to his feet to jump Hulk and rain down club blows. Hulk was barely phased however and merely roared in anger as gamma burst from his body, searing Berserker's body with the deadly radiation. Berserker roared but ignored the agony, merely swinging his fist to try and strike Hulk. However, the intense radiation ended up burning away nearly the entirety of his arm up to his elbow, leaving it a smoking stump. Realizing the extent of the damage, Berserker leapt backwards from the living radiation emitter.

As the glowing World Breaker Hulk growled and advanced towards the servant, Berserker's Eye of the Mind told him that he needed to bring out his second Noble Phantasm. Thus, his club glowed red as he essentially powered it with nearly all the remainders of his God Hand lives. With a defiant bellow, Berserker charged towards to deliver the 100 near-simultaneous blows to overwhelm Hulk's healing factor. Hulk charged forward to met him before coming under assault from the series of strikes, which cut his body numerous times, spraying out green blood all across the ground. 99 times the club connected with Hulk's body and Berserker prepared to deliver the 100th strike. But that was when Hulk's hand shot out to grab his wrist, halting Shooting the Hundred Heads.

Hulk: You try to hurt Hulk. But you can't, because Hulk is strongest one there is!

With that, he tore off Berserker's club-wielding arm, leaving the servant completely armless. Berserker roared in anger before Hulk ripped his club out his detached arm and stabbed it through his shoulder so that it pierced down through the middle of his legs and into the ground, leaving Berserker skewered on his own weapon. Hulk released the weapon's handle as he exited World Breaker, giving the impaled and now motionless servant one last leer before turning and marching away.

But behind him, Berserker twitched one last time as Battle Continuation took effect, and he roared as he leaped forward, leaving the club impaled in the ground, as he barreled towards Hulk, his jaws open as an impromptu weapon. Without turning around, Hulk punched his fist up into the air, catching Berserker's jaw and blowing his head to smithereens, bringing his final charge to a premature end. His headless and armless corpse fell forward to crash onto the ground as Hulk continued to walk away.

Hulk: Puny demigod.

KO!

Outcome[]

Boomstick: Woo-hoo, go Hulk! Definite improvement on the last time he went up against someone who could adapt upon death.

Wiz: Heracles may have been one of the most powerful Servants in the Fate series, but it was no secret that Hulk completely outclassed him in terms of power.

Boomstick: Berserker could destroy a mountain, no problem, but Hulk was able to destroy an asteroid twice the size of Earth. What's more, that was when he was Grey Hulk, the one who doesn't get angrier and thus stronger.

Popup: Being summoned in Europe also increases Heracles' power but there’s no evidence it’s to an extent that could surpass Hulk’s and would anyway be a specific situation outside of Fate's storyline; e.g. the place he was summoned.

Wiz: And Hulk is capable of taking hits from the likes of Thor, who has planet-busting feats, once more far above Heracles' attack output. In terms of speed, the gap wasn't as massive but is a still relevant one. Heracles reacted to Mach 1100+ Servants and projectiles but Hulk once leapt out of orbit at nearly Mach 4000+ (Spinosaurus75DinosaurFan). Still, the greatest obstacle for Hulk to overcome in this battle wouldn't be Heracles' strength or speed, but his God Hand.

Boomstick: Right, because that thing could resurrect Berserker every time he died and make him even more resilient to boot, so that was always going to be a problem to overcome. But whilst it would be tough, it wouldn't be borderline impossible.

Wiz: Here's the proof; in one of Stay Night's three routes, Saber Alter, the dark version of the Artoria Pendragon servant, was able to deal away with a large number of Heracles' extra lives with attacks of ever increasing-attack output thanks to her ever-increasing mana. Basically spiritual energy Servants are fueled by...the point is, she could overwhelm the level of resistant to attacks each death granted to Heracles thanks to her increasing power source.

Boomstick: And we all know the angrier Hulk gets, the stronger he gets, or whatever Wiz said earlier, so could definitely top the level of invulnerability Berserker ends up with at each new life.

Wiz: Whilst we're on the subject of Noble Phantasms, Heracles' second one, Shooting the Hundred Heads, could have possibly given Heracles the win in some scenarios with its function to overwhelming healing abilities. But given Hulk's speed means he could get in attacks first, Heracles would be hard pressed for a chance to use it, or simply last long enough against Hulk's strength.

Popup: Even then, the meteor destroying capability of Grey Hulk means it’s likely that he could take out all of Heracles’ extra lives in a single instance, as this feat was 71 quadrillion times greater than Heracles’ proven durability.

Boomstick: Plus, it kind of needs Berserker's own strength to pull off, and we've already said Hulk was way too tough for the Servant to harm.

Popup: Hulk’s superior speed and strength means that Heracles’ passive abilities such as Eye of the Mind and his supernatural luck wouldn’t carry him far enough to victory in the long run.

Wiz: Heracles put up a good fight as a Servant of the Berserker class, but was ultimately outmatched by Hulk's durability, speed and of course, strength.

Boomstick: Not to surprisingly, Heracles Bers-irked Hulk a little too much.

Wiz: The winner is the Hulk.

Trivia[]

  • The connection between Hulk and Heracles is that they are both are large, muscled individuals who are often consumed by rage during battle, which serves to make them more powerful. In spite of their wrath, both are also highly protective of particular individuals, and have infamously battled against godly foes; Thor and Gilgamesh respectively.
