Boomstick: When it comes to videogames, it can be hard to find food to heal with...but for these two, food is everywhere and anywhere. Ghosts, Waddle Dees, random pellets, blocks, and so much more. But which one of these round hungry VG heroes is stronger? Is it Kirby, the adorable but deadly pink puff?
Wiz: or Pac-Man, the yellow bane of ghosts?
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons armor and skills to see who would win in a DEATH BATTLE.
Boomstick: Remember when this little dude beat Majin Buu? Heh, good times.
Wiz: Kirby is the pink puffball from planet popstar. He usually spends his time napping, adventuring, and eating...or doing all at once.
Boomstick: Kirbys trademark ability is the inhale, which makes his mouth a vacuum cleaner that sucks up anything near him in to his mouth or his stomach dimension. He can increase the power of his inhale after a while, which let's him suck up multiple things at once. Man, this guy really sucks!
Wiz: After he has put something in his mouth, he can spit it out as a star or swallow it down for a Copy Ability. What's a copy ability you might ask? It's what the name implies. He gains the power of whatever he swallows. For example, when he sucks up water, he becomes water Kirby. Or when he sucks up leaves, he becomes leaf Kirby.
Boomstick: He can also mix abilities. Like when he sucks up a sword and fire at the same time, he gets the fire sword. I wish I had a fire sword....
Wiz: But his inhale has a weakness....it can't be used underwater. Only a few select copy abilities can work underwater, mainly ones involving weapons and the water ability, and they lose a lot of the moves they had before. Oh yeah, and we forgot to mention, if Kirby gets hit hard enough, he loses his Copy Ability. So, when he loses his ability underwater he's really only got two attacks to work with: the water gun, where he spits water at his foes, and the touch dash, where he curls up in to a ball and spins in to his foes.
Boomstick: There is a ton of extra stuff we need to cover too. (Deep breath) The slide let's him hit opponents by sliding in to them, Kirby can make his Sword grow huge in to the mighty ultra sword, headbutt in to enemies, use the copy palette to store food, abilities, and stars in his stomach dimension, and Kirby can use the almighty Robobot Armor.
Wiz: The robobot armor can do a 3-hit combo, make its arm in to a wrench, make its arm in to a giant drill, hover for a short amount of time, pull its arms and legs inside itself to shield, and scan to get copy abilities just like Kirby. The Robobot armor has super strength as well as it can lift up huge metal blocks bigger than itself.
Boomstick: Now I want some Robobot armor!
Wiz: Of course, his main mode of Transport is the Warp Star. The Warp Star is very fast, can shoot stars, and can spin in to opponents for quick damage. When Kirby inhales his Warp Star, he gets the Star Rod ability. The Star Rod can shoot small stars, can be charged to shoot a singular but stronger star, and can be used as a melee weapon as well.
Boomstick: Finally, Kirby has two super powerful transformations that make him a walking rainbow. The Invincibility Candy which does what the name implies, makes him invincible. And the Hypernova Fruit which lets him suck up almost anything...even boss's health bars.
Wiz: But this pink demon has his weaknesses. He's dumb. Like, dumber than you Boomstick. And if he sees food, he can't resist it. He once had an existential crisis in the middle of the road for a whole day on whether or not he should eat King Dedede's noodles.
(Kirby does the Kirby Dance after beating Whispy Woods in KRTD)
(Cue Pac-land theme)
Wiz: Pac-Man is the hero of Pac-Land and bane of ghosts. He has a lot of different backstories, most of them conflicting each other.
Boomstick: In one, he was a survivor of World War 3 but with ghosts!
Wiz: However, in almost all of his appearances, he shares a common goal. (B)eat ghosts, who are usually just Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Clyde, and eat food.
Boomstick: That's even more simple than the plot of a standard Mario game. But speaking of Mario, this guy has a lot at his disposal. A LOT.
(Cue Air Ride Drag Race theme)
