Fanon Wiki Ideas So Far[]

Possible Opponents[]

History[]

Average technician George Tarleton found his fate forever changed thanks to a random selection by his boss, the Scientist Supreme of A.I.M. (Advanced Idea Mechanics), who needed a unique, bio engineered "living computer" in order to plumb the mysteries of the Cosmic Cube. Tarleton was subjected to hideous experiments, mutating his body into a massive-headed being possessing superhuman intelligence and extraordinary psionic powers, and the process drove him mad. Given the code-name MODOC ("Mobile Organism Designed Only for Computing"), Tarleton instead turned on his superiors, slaying them all and declaring himself Scientist Supreme. Moreover, he changed his name to MODOK ("Mobile Organism Designed Only for Killing).

He is a recurring enemy of Captain America, Namor, Iron Man, Ms Marvel, Hulk and has recently become the arch enemy of his former minion Gwenpool.

Powers and Abilities[]

George Tarleton is subjected to a mutagenic process that grants him superhuman intelligence, including a computer-like memory, the ability to scour and retain large databanks of information very quickly and solve abstract mathematical problems nearly instantaneously. He also has the ability to calculate the mathematical probability of any given event occurring; an ability so strong that it borders on precognition. However, his creativity remains at average human level. As MODOK, the character also has psionic powers enabling him to mentally control both individuals and large groups, and generate force fields able to withstand minor nuclear explosions. Courtesy of AIM technology, MODOK wears a headband that enables him to focus his mental power into a devastating beam. A side effect of the mutation was the growth of Tarleton's head to the point whereby his body can no longer support its weight, necessitating the use of an exoskeleton and hoverchair. The chair is equipped with a variety of weapons including missiles and lasers. Occasionally, Tarleton had the use of a giant humanoid robot body that was proportionally sized to fit his head. Tarleton's organs also wear out quickly, necessitating the use of harvested clones, whose organs are used to sustain him. As the leader of A.I.M., MODOK has advanced technology and a personal army at his disposal.

  • Massive brain on par or superior to that of a supercomputer
  • Technopathy: MODOK had the ability to mentally control and channel himself through technology.
  • Consciousness Transferal: MODOK had the ability to transfer his consciousness to different bodies, transferring into a upgraded body to escape death.
  • Multiple lasers, bombs, shields, tasers, weapons and gadgets within his chair. [1]
    • Analyze Cube increases the power of his lasers by absorbing the 'data' of his opponents
  • His massive head makes him able to headbutt his enemies with superhuman force
  • His chair can fly at supersonic speeds

Flaws/Weaknesses[]

  • Cannot move without the aid of technology due to his heavy head.
  • Completely insane
  • Defenseless against Squirrels [2]
  • Needs to harvest organs from his clones to survive, as his mutant body decays and ages faster than a normal human's. [3]
  • Repeatedly defeated by The Avengers

  • His own AIM minions hate him, to the point where they have revolted against MODOK.
