I've no idea how things will end up. Chances are, I won't be around to explain myself later. So I'm making this journal, starting here, as a declaration of intent, so that no one will be in any doubt. Point one: Frank Castle is dead. However, the message has yet to reach his body, and so it continues to twitch. Who can say what it might do before it stops moving? Point two: Sometimes the law is helpless to act, even when it identifies the guilty. It follows therefore, that sometimes it is necessary to act outside the law, to shame its inadequacy, to pursue a natural justice. I'm not talking about vengeance. Revenge is not a valid motive. It's a tawdry, emotional response no better than the act that provokes it. I'm talking about... punishment. Point three: I am up to the task. When I do my job, it gets done. History[]

Born in Queens, New York, Frank Castle serving four years in the Vietnam War, Castle's life was changed forever after his family was gunned down by mobsters. He dedicated his life to using his skills as a Marine to wage war against the criminal underworld. But this crusade would have him getting through entanglements with Daredevil, Spider-Man and many other Marvel heroes who do not approve of his quest to avenge his family by killing criminals. To the Punisher, they are still scum that innocence in society suffers, unworthy of any redemption regardless of what crime they do, and as a result, each criminal that crosses the Punisher are expected to meet gruesome fates, some worse than death. But the Punisher has since extended this crusade to not only just petty criminals, he has gone after Italian Mafiosos, Russian Bratvas, Mexican drug cartels, Irish Mobs, Chinese Triads, Japanese Yakuza and even Jamaican Yardees. No crime family is safe from the Punisher's wrath.
