Sephiroth vs Madoka

Sephiroth[]

Wiz: Sephiroth was born to scientists of the Shinra Electric Power Company, since the day he was born, Sephiroth was destined to become a Super Soldier. And by his twenties, Sephiroth had started taking part in conflicts, and received the revered title of SOLDIER 1st Class, a title held by only a select few.

Boomstick: Sephiroth being the first one to reach the title carried with it a pretty damn big reputation, so much so that Sephiroth is deployed to only the most dangerous and important assignments, because when you have a name like that, why not up the danger?

Wiz: And his talent is only further tested by the weapon of choice, in combat Sephiroth wields the Masamune, a 7' 2" sword that seemingly takes its inspiration from the Nodachi Swords of Feudal Japan, a sword that you would usually need to wield with two hands, but Sephiroth's prodigious talent sees him only needing one hand to wield it.

Boomstick: With a sword like that, it's a wonder Sephiroth became a war hero, he could basically stab everyone from a good distance and not ever have to get close. But don't let me mislead you, Sephiroth is no ordinary human. His superhuman speed, strength, and durability make him dangerous to his enemies.

Wiz: And being no ordinary human is a rather accurate description of Sephiroth. His efforts in the Wutai War made him a legend and returning home bestowed him with the perks and luxuries of being a hero, including a dedicated fan club of all things. But while Sephiroth was public hero #1, he was unaware of his true nature.

Boomstick: During a fateful visit to Nibelheim, Sephiroth bumped into his old friend Genesis, who told him they were both bred for scientific gain, and Sephiroth was the perfect specimen. Sephiroth didn't believe what he had heard, but this ultimately laid the foundation for Sephiroth's descent into madness.

Wiz: Ultimately spending a full week inside the Nibelheim library, Sephiroth discovered his origins. Crushed by the truth, Sephiroth's outlook changed forever and he set out to get vengeance on the human race for what they did to his "ancestors". Sephiroth made his intentions known when he brought about the Nibelheim Incident.

Boomstick: And Sephiroth very nearly had things his way, until Cloud Strife showed up and promptly lead Sephiroth to his death. Or at least that's what Shinra publically stated. And for 5 years, that's what everyone believed. But then Sephiroth set in motion his plans to bring about the reunion.

Wiz: During his supposed death, Sephiroth ended up coming into contact with the Lifestream, a river of energy that sustains the planet's life. Realizing it's potential, Sephiroth sought to seize control of it to become a god. Along the way to that new goal, Sephiroth's power increased.

Boomstick: Sephiroth gained the ability to influence those who had the same Jenova cells as him, not to mention his own skills had been skyrocketed, being able to send people hundreds of feet into the air with just the swing of Masamune, he became faster, being able to move at Supersonic speeds!

Wiz: His durability increased as well, surviving attacks that even injured vital organs, thanks to his control over those with his cells, he could make versions of himself that can fight in his place, since his true body resides within the Lifestream itself. And that merging with the Lifestream also affected his ability to use Materia.

Boomstick: Originally Sephiroth used Fire, Lightning, Ice and Earth Materia for offensive attacks and Barrier and Healing Materia when needed. But since Materia drew from the planet's energy, once Sephiroth jumped into the Lifestream, he no longer needed Materia. In fact, jumping in there improved his magical technique.

Wiz: With this much power, Sephiroth did all he could to prevent the human race from exhausting the planet's life force, his solution was to use the Black Materia, which would summon Meteor, which would destroy the planet and then allow Sephiroth to absorb all of the planet's energy.

Boomstick: Sephiroth is just insanely powerful that this sort of thing doesn't surprise me, he can smash people through solid concrete, slice through giant cannons with just the energy slashes of Masamune. Kill a giant ass snake and even completely tank the fire of a Dragon, which can one-shot other 1st Class SOLDIERS.

Wiz: Sephiroth's continued use of the Lifestream during his attempt to destroy the world with Meteor ultimately drove Sephiroth to take on new forms. Firstly, Bizarro∙Sephiroth. This transformation makes him a lot more durable than his base form. While in this state he primarily uses elemental magic as well as Bizarro Energy, this form's unique healing magic.

Boomstick: It's pretty strange if I'm being honest. But Bizarro has always been the benchwork for something greater. And when you beat down Bizzaro enough, Sephiroth emerges in his ultimate form, Safer∙Sephiroth. Which looks pretty damn cool. In this form, he possesses even more power, like Pale Horse, his own Kamehameha.

Wiz: With the Lifestream's powers at his disposal, he can cast barriers to enhance his defences, strike opponents with his newly acquired left-wing, and transport his foes into an alternate dimension, where he exposes them to his ultimate technique, Super Nova. This ability is supremely powerful.

Boomstick: Being able to wipe out the Solar System! Well all of them except Neptune, Uranus, and Mars. But it definitely wipes out the majority. And as we've previously concluded, because it's within this alternate dimension, Super Nova is still a real event.

Wiz: At the height of his power, Sephiroth was almost successful. But Cloud and company put an end to his crusade, but not before fighting Cloud in a one-on-one metaphysical battle, which Sephiroth lost and finally dissolved into the Lifestream, but that wasn't enough to put him down! His hatred for Cloud kept him alive within the Lifestream.

Boomstick: And that let him come back to life! Next feats calendar! Sephiroth was able to manifest avatars of his own, and one of them successfully got the last remnants of Jenova, when that avatar absorbed Jenova's cells, Sephiroth was restored to life!

Wiz: Mere moments into his new life, Sephiroth tanked an attack from Cloud that yielded 1,600 tons of force. And Sephiroth wasn't at his full strength, as stated by series creator, Hironobu Sakaguchi. However, Sephiroth lost the rematch as well, sending him back to exist within the Lifestream.

Boomstick: No matter where Cloud went, Sephiroth continued to be a constant presence, during his time in Kingdom Hearts, Cloud's heart was filled with both Light and Darkness, Sephiroth is a physical embodiment of Cloud's darkness in this incarnation, Sephiroth has unique abilities too.

Wiz: Being a physical manifestation of one's darkness, Sephiroth gained the ability to manipulate darkness, he also gained nigh-invulnerability, he can even summon meteors fast enough to cause a localized meteor shower. Sephiroth can also perform Heartless Angel, an attack that depletes all of the enemy's magic, as well as weakens their health.

Boomstick: Sephiroth's time as Cloud's darkness saw him in a total of four battles, two against Cloud, and two against Sora. When factoring all of this in, it's honestly a wonder that Sephiroth just doesn't ever lose, I mean the guy is practically at his peak and stays there constantly.

Wiz: While you are correct about his peak, Sephiroth is far from a flawless individual. Sephiroth has rarely, if ever been hard-pressed in a battle, making him extremely arrogant and that certain of his strength. He's also not inclined to go all out in a fight, dragging on fights he could end immediately. His overconfidence and self-imposed superiority are also a contributor.

Boomstick: And if that's not enough, his hatred for Cloud is that strong, he is more hellbent on making Cloud suffer than actually improving any of his skills, he just thinks what he has is enough, which is why he lost to Cloud three separate times! Kingdom Hearts Sephiroth also has losses to his name, being bested by Sora twice.

Wiz: Despite all this, Sephiroth is endlessly persistent. No matter what kind of hell he goes through, Sephiroth will just come out the other side. If you're in his way, you better watch out.

Sephiroth: I will... never be a memory.

Madoka[]

Wiz: Madoka was born to Tomohisa and Junko Kaname, as the eldest child of the Kaname family, Madoka would experience a fairly ordinary life, attending school, making lifetime friendships and being an all-around kind person at her core.

Boomstick: But we can't have a generic story, so prepare yourselves, as a 2nd Year student, Madoka was now fully adjusted to the academic life she was living, but everything would change forever when the new girl showed up, whether Madoka knew it or not, Homura Akemi was going to change everything.

Wiz: Madoka had seen this girl in dreams before, where during said dreams she bore witness to an unforeseen enemy she would one day come to learn of. That same day, Madoka was approached by a mysterious cat-like creature named Kyubey, this creature claimed to be an Incubator, and made Madoka an offer.

Boomstick: Kyubey was looking for Magical Girls, and she wanted Madoka to become one, but since Incubators have all those little rules, Kyubey had to offer a wish in exchange, and this was something Madoka could not decide on. I know with a wish like that I'd wish for an endless supply of beer, or shotguns!

Wiz: Boomstick, that would be a grievous misuse of their powers. Not to mention it's a binding contract. Because Magical Girls are enlisted with the intent of wiping out Witches, beings born out of anxiety, suspicion, hatred, etc. Madoka had spent some time thinking on a wish, but the ever-looming Homura Akemi prevented Madoka's attempts to sign the contract.

Boomstick: After the untimely death of fellow Magical Girl, Mami Tomoe, Madoka began changing her mind on the matter. And it would take even longer before anything major happened, but inevitably, the fateful day came, the arrival of this giant ass witch, Walpurgisnacht.

Wiz: Walpurgisnacht, a gargantuan witch impossible for a single magical girl to handle on her own. This is not only the reason why Homura wanted to prevent Madoka from making a contact, but it is also the witch that Madoka experienced in her dreams. Homura then confessed the truth. Madoka was an extraordinarily powerful Magical Girl.

Boomstick: But Homura had used her time travel powers to keep going back in time and changing events to prevent the end of the world, every time she did so, Madoka's potential continued to rise exponentially, resulting in her being a supremely powerful Magical Girl.

Wiz: Madoka's resolve to save her friends and all Magical Girls drove her to finally make the wish that would make her into a Magical Girl. Regardless of the timeline, Madoka becomes a Magical Girl and possesses extraordinary power. In combat, Madoka's main weapon is a staff that can transform itself into the Rose Branch Bow.

Boomstick: Being able to shift between staff and bow provides Madoka with both offensive attacks and protecting against enemy attacks. She can do rapid-fire arrows, split an arrow as it approaches its target and her bow's most powerful technique, Magical Squall. Where she covers an entire city with arrows.

Wiz: That same technique has more capabilities, but those we'll touch on later, as a staff, Madoka's weapon can function as both a blunt object and a means to heal herself from any injuries she takes. Although Magical Girl Physiology sets them apart from ordinary humans.

Boomstick: When Magical Girls make a contract, they get this thing called a Soul Gem, which is far from subtle. The Soul Gem houses their soul, and without their soul, their bodies are essentially just vessels, and no matter the punishment, a Magical Girl will survive, so long as her Soul Gem remains intact.

Wiz: The nature of Soul Gems is directly tied to the survivability of a Magical Girl, if one is destroyed, it is instant death to its owner, however, a more unfortunate outcome is if one's Soul Gem is tainted by the qualities of a witch, where it transforms into a Grief Seed, and the Magical Girl becomes a Witch.

Boomstick: It's so messed up that you can end up becoming the very thing you swore to destroy, and Madoka was no exception, thanks to Homura, we know that Madoka ended up becoming a witch at least two times, going by the name Kriemhild Gretchen.

Wiz: Kriemhild Gretchen is the most powerful witch in known history. Her presence alone warranted Homura resetting time to ensure Madoka never makes a contract, due to Madoka's sheer power being sustained even as Kriemhild. But things took an unusual turn.

Boomstick: A sort of discovery was made, and it became possible for Magical Girls and their Witches to co-exist for a short while, this phenomenon was called Doppel. Madoka was able to use Doppel as well, transforming into Doppel Kriemhild. However, during this brief transformation, Madoka is asleep whilst Kriemhild is in full control.

Wiz: It's never been firmly established if Magia Record is its universe, or if it's one of the many timelines that Homura travelled through, regardless Madoka was able to use the ability.

Boomstick: But back to the original story, after enough timelines, Homura still couldn't defeat Walpurgisnacht, and after confessing her truth to Madoka. Things were about to change, on every single level imaginable, and we're not kidding when we say this.

Wiz: Thanks to learning about Homura's previous timelines, Madoka finally made a wish, she wanted to eradicate all witches before their births, every single witch in every universe with her power, past, and future. Her wish was so great, it was going to change the very rules of the universe, and so Madoka's wish was granted.

Boomstick: Madoka's ascension to godly power allowed her to rewrite the laws of the universe, and so she remade the universe according to her design. Her single greatest feat of all time. After this rise in power, she became known as Ultimate Madoka. She also created an entirely new concept, the Law of Cycles.

Wiz: The Law of Cycles was created with the sole directive of purging the despair from a Soul Gem before it ever corrupts a Magical Girl into a Witch, and since Madoka specifically stated she wanted to do this "in every universe", "past and future", Madoka's newly found power took effect across the entire Multiverse. Yes. Multiverse.

Boomstick: In the manga Puella Magi Homura Tamura it was revealed that there are infinite universes. Which looks like a lot of work for one person, but think of it like Madoka and the Law of Cycles merge to form Ultimate Madoka. So it's a joined effort. And remember the Rose Branch Bow and Magical Squall?

Wiz: After ascending to divinity, Ultimate Madoka's bow becomes the Holy Bow. As for Magical Squall, it becomes Shooting Star, a technique where Ultimate Madoka launches an infinite number of arrows. This technique proved powerful enough to destroy her future Witch Form. Additionally, even before it became Shooting Star, Magical Squall's arrows were able to travel through time and even become duplicates of Madoka.

Boomstick: While Madoka's power is quite powerful, she still has downsides. Her physical prowess is also lacking. And during her time as a human, she lacked self-confidence and was naive to a fault, which makes me want to see her succeed, but we already know what she does with her godly power, so it all works out in the end.

Wiz: Regardless, Madoka will always hang onto her belief of the hope that lives in Magical Girls. No matter what may happen.

Madoka: If someone tells me that it's wrong to hope, I'll tell them they're wrong every time.

DEATH BATTLE![]

The sun shined brightly, giving the sky a lovely blue colour that anyone could admire, everything looked peaceful. Though on this particular day things were not normal it seemed like barely anything was happening at all. Not a single soul was around, down in the city, any presence of human life was completely absent. Streets were clear open roads, stores were empty, not even anyone to tend to the service counter.

Needless to say, it was an unsettling sight if you were somehow in this city, free to roam anywhere without a single interruption, no matter where one could go, they would only be met by more of the same. No corner of the city was tucking away any hidden secrets, anything and everything that could be uncovered could be done, entirely within broad daylight. It was such an unusual phenomenon, what was once a bustling city now completely void of life.

However, even amidst the sheer void of absence, there was a single, solitary individual who walked through the city, afraid of the things they were seeing with their own two eyes, completely defying their understanding of city life as well as a modern society, even going to the train station felt unusual, waiting at that place would be pointless, no train would come, nor it would be teeming with passengers also making their daily commute to work or school.

It was bleak, to say the least, and that simple fact had begun to trouble the young Madoka Kaname, walking by all her favourite spots on the way to school felt strange, seeing no one else except herself. None of her friends were here either. "Oh, I sure hope they are all okay..." Madoka worryingly thought to herself. She began to wonder if she was experiencing a witch's labyrinth.

Thoughts of that possibility raced through Madoka's mind, but she knew that Witches were not the same as they once were, and so Madoka had to think of other potential solutions to the predicament she found herself in. Madoka kept hold of her school bag since had fully expected to go to school like normal, hence she dressed in her full school uniform. It was perhaps one of the only comforts she had.

She continued, remaining hopeful that something or someone would appear, and thus allow her to feel a bit safer. But as she continued walking, she decided that her school attendance was not required. "It feels weird not going to school by choice, but I can't argue with things". Without transportation, Madoka simply walked back to the city where she usually disembarks to go home. Even walking to her usual destination felt strange.

It was so ingrained in Madoka's system for her to use transport to get to school and back. Nevertheless, she went the distance. Upon her return, Madoka decided it was time for her to head home, at least there she was going to feel safe and secure, the warmth and comfort of home was the one solace she had. Remembering the directions she always took, Madoka started heading home.

Walking with her head forward, Madoka kept pacing in the direction toward home, holding onto her school bag. The winds picked up for a moment, the breeze catching Madoka by surprise. But it subsided quickly, Madoka turned around to see if there was anything nearby causing that gust of wind, but she found nothing. So she simply continued in her general direction.

But in truth, she had been found, someone else was there, and they had recognized not only the girl but the situation around them. The time was nearing, "The reunion at hand will bring salvation to the planet", a voice quietly uttered. Moments later something vanished from sight, as though it had been trying to remain incognito this whole time.

Not far from where she was intending to go, Madoka lifted a smile, remaining happy even in the face of her current circumstances. She looked to her side, recognizing a place in the city she liked, it reminded her of fond memories she cherishes with her dear friends. In that small pocket of time, Madoka's reminiscence was halted when she felt the wind pick up once again.

This time, however, Madoka felt a chill, one that briefly paralyzed her, but Madoka swallowed that feeling as she began to hear something, footsteps. And they were close by, Madoka stopped walking and turned around, only to see a man over six feet tall, with a muscular build. Sporting a long black coat with silver pauldrons, black boots, and black trousers.

Long silver hair defined the man's overall appearance, this man stood still. Eyes closed, facing away from Madoka, turned ninety degrees to his side. Madoka was unsure of what to say, but she mustered the courage to finally speak, "H-Hello?" vocally reaching out to the man, "Hmm, you're not an ordinary girl, are you?" the man responded.

The man turned his head to face Madoka, opening his eyes to reveal the green cat-like eyes, this was none other than the fearsome soldier, Sephiroth. Madoka recoiled in a combination of fear and panic. "You're powerful..." Sephiroth delivered in his deep voice. Madoka had concluded that Sephiroth had somehow become aware of her status as a Magical Girl.

A smile raised from Sephiroth's face, his suspicion was proving correct. Though he had concluded this girl must belong to the Cetra, thusly one of its survivors. Having believed he killed the last Cetra, Sephiroth was intent on finishing the job. "...I can see it." Sephiroth continued to press this girl, seeing if he could identify just how much power she possessed.

"Who are you?" Madoka worryingly asked. She put her school bag onto the ground beside her, seeing the situation was likely going to warrant her use of Magical Girl power. "I am like you, a being blessed with great power." Sephiroth calmly responded. Sephiroth faced Madoka and reached his arm out, green energy materialized and then took the form of Sephiroth's mighty blade, the Masamune.

"I am also... your despair." Sephiroth took hold of his sword as Madoka's expression changed from that of panic to that of determination, Madoka's body shined and became enveloped in white and pink energy, triggering her appearance to change, her outfit changed into a poofy pink dress with ribbons arranged throughout. Also white gloves with pink trims, white, knee-high stockings, and dark pink heels. Completing her transformation.

Seeing that the girl did indeed possess great power, Sephiroth became exhilarated. He raised his free arm into the air, Sephiroth motioned his hand, as if at Sephiroth's behest, dark grey clouds began to form, quickly covering the sky in its entirety, sending the whole city into a state of overcast. Madoka quickly materialized her staff and held it at the ready.

Sephiroth Madoka Fight

Part I - Despair & Hope[]

(Cue Riku Final Battle - Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days)

Jolting forward with shocking speed, Sephiroth gripped Masamune and approached Madoka. With her reaction surfacing mere moments before the incoming attack, Madoka dodged and jumped to her left as quickly as her legs could allow. Sephiroth was able to follow up, as his swing proved to be void of a target. Sephiroth swiftly swings his blade to the right, following Madoka effectively.

The long blade of Masamune catches Madoka by surprise, the blade's silver nearly struck her, but thankfully Madoka moved in time to prevent injury. But her moment of reprieve did not last long, Sephiroth held Masamune and attempted a stabbing thrust. With the blade being much closer than expected, Madoka couldn't react in time, and the Masamune successfully stabbed Madoka on her arm.

With a smile on his face, Sephiroth raised his sword slowly, lifting Madoka from the ground into the air, hanging in the air by only the blade thrust through her arm. Sephiroth looked at the girl, seeing her victim approaching the final moments of her life. "Your fear will be gone in a flash." Sephiroth took hold of his blade with two hands, ready to slice the girl in half.

Energy struck Sephiroth directly in the chest, the blast knocked Sephiroth off balance. He was quick to regain control, but he was struck again in the same place by the same energy. Sephiroth looked at Madoka, seeing she was wielding a bow, the bow was mostly brown, but sported parts that were pink in colour, one end of the bow shifted from brown to green, tipped with what looked like two leaves.

On the opposite end of the bow, it split into three separate branches, on the top of the middle branch was a fully blossomed pink flower. Momentarily intrigued by the nature of the bow, Sephiroth shortly returned his attention to the fight. The arrow Madoka had put into the bow was made of pure pink energy. The blasts were enough to allow Madoka the freedom to escape Masamune.

Forming another pink arrow, Madoka guided her shot, striking Sephiroth once again. Madoka pulled back another arrow, ready to fire. Sephiroth placed his hand over his body, seeing if the damage was potent, while his body had not been pierced, he had identified that the attacks were magic in nature, and thusly a threat. Sephiroth vanishes from sight.

Not anticipating it, Madoka began looking and surveying her surroundings, whilst keeping a firm hold of her bow, Madoka looked carefully, looking anywhere nearby. Sephiroth reappeared behind Madoka, a fair distance from her. Sephiroth's footsteps alerted Madoka. The Magical Girl quickly spun herself around and immediately fired her arrow upon Sephiroth. With a simple hand raise, Sephiroth put his had in the trajectory of the arrow.

As the arrow reached Sephiroth, he swiftly cast Barrier, successfully blocking the projectile. Madoka recognized this quickly and realized she needed to up the ante. Sephiroth had other plans, however. With a motion of his arm, Sephiroth cast thunder magic, the bolts struck from above. Madoka jumped out of the way, avoiding the thunder as best she could.

Taking hold of his blade with two hands, Sephiroth dashed forward to attack once again. Madoka knew what kind of attack was coming for her, and leapt into the air, using her flight to take off from the ground, Sephiroth missed his attack, only to notice Madoka's capability of flight. Sephiroth motioned his arm and cast yet another magical technique of his.

This time Sephiroth cast flames, which took on the form of fireballs, Sephiroth the projectiles toward the airborne Madoka, seeing the attack was following her, she drew another arrow of magic and guided it toward the fireball, the two attacks collided, and both erupted. But Sephiroth had cast more than just a singular attack, stretching his arm upward, Sephiroth's command saw a whole group of fireballs swarm to attack.

Before she knew it, Madoka was surrounded. Closing his hand, gripping it tightly, the fireballs all strike Madoka simultaneously, the collision of the flames and their magical composition conducts an explosion, trapping Madoka within. Sephiroth lowered his arm back to his side, observing the attack he just completed. But his eyes sharpened that same moment, something didn't feel right.

From the smoke of the explosion, Madoka appeared, landing on the ground and dusting her shoulder clear, her uniform had been scorched, though only in small areas, Madoka slowly rose back onto her feet, turning to face Sephiroth once again. Madoka pulled back an arrow, but Sephiroth quickly vanished, moving at incredible speeds, Madoka was more prepared this time and moved at quick speeds as well. The two met in the middle, Madoka fired an arrow, but it completely missed the intended target.

Realizing that the girl was slower than himself, Sephiroth decided to exploit this weakness and used his greater speed to vanish once again, Madoka drew an arrow once again, looking to locate Sephiroth, she turned, keeping an eye of all possible angles. But it proved futile, Sephiroth emerged behind Madoka, thrusting Masamune straight through Madoka's body. The Magical Girl recoiled in pain, and Sephiroth hoisted his victim up into the air.

With his victim in a far more lethal and fatally wounded position, Sephiroth swung Masamune into the air, the force and speed of which was enough to send Madoka airborne, accelerating into the air at an alarming rate, Madoka was freed from Sephiroth's sword, but the wound still felt in the girl's chest. Sephiroth wasted in time in taking advantage of his opportunity, and once again waved his hand to cast Thunder magic.

A thunderbolt struck Madoka during her vertical ascent, the impact drove Madoka back down to the ground, crashing into the ground hard. Sephiroth looked down at the girl, "Perhaps I was wrong...", Sephiroth slowly approached the fallen Magical Girl, ready for yet another direct impalement to her body, since it appeared the girl had not yet died, this next stab should be fatal.

Thrusting the long blade, Sephiroth aimed for the head, ensuring the lethality. Moments before he completed his finishing move, Sephiroth was knocked back a few meters by an arrow, Sephiroth looked forward, seeing Madoka has climbed back onto her feet, holding her bow and arrow in hand. Gazing closer at Madoka's body, Sephiroth noticed that the areas he had impaled her were completely healed.

Before Sephiroth could act on that, Madoka increased the frequency of her arrow projectiles, she guided them to Sephiroth in quick succession, each arrow striking Sephiroth successfully. With an opening, Madoka pulled back on her bow with a stronger, firmer grasp. Madoka, using as much of her strength as she could, freed her arrow, it soared through the winds quickly, impacting Sephiroth directly on the chest.

Unprepared for such a flurry of arrows, Sephiroth was not expecting their potency to be that strong, Sephiroth fell to one knee, as he felt the magical nature of the attacks were strong, much stronger than he anticipated. Still holding onto Masamune with one hand, Sephiroth returned to his two feet in moments. "Hmm, allow me to return the favour", Sephiroth teleported into the air.

The upper half of Sephiroth's body began to glow with a pink colour, "The time has come. Let us make the future!" Madoka's sharpened her focus. Sephiroth stretched his right arm into the air. Forming in the sky, meteorites appeared from nothing, and they were all homing in on Madoka. Realizing she won't be able to evade all of them, Madoka draws more arrows and fired them upon the meteorites that approached her.

With her opponent being in the air, Madoka took to the skies herself. But to her surprise, the meteorites were following her movements. Rapidly launching arrows, Madoka intentionally collided her arrows with the meteorites. Seeing that the meteorites were small, Madoka focused her aim at the centre of the meteorites, and her precision paid off, the meteorites would either crumble and lose form, or they would simply be rendered ineffective by the sheer force of a collision.

Whilst sustaining his barrage of meteorites, Sephiroth looks and see that Madoka is primarily on the defensive, noticing she had moved back a fair distance, "What's wrong? Are you scared?", Sephiroth didn't yield and continued his attack, Madoka, however, was beginning to experience fatigue, the meteorites were many, and weren't stopping. Eventually, Madoka knew she would need to start evading them.

There was so little time to question her next course of action, she would either be worn down and be hit by a meteorite, or she would have to avoid them and potentially lead to destructive damage beneath. During her prolonged sniping of meteorites, Madoka caught a glimpse of Sephiroth, still standing completely with his arm raised. It was then she devised a plan. Madoka continued to fire arrows upon arrows.

Affording herself some space, Madoka drew back her arrow with a tight grip. She aimed, targetting the idle airborne Sephiroth. Releasing her hold of the arrow, Madoka watched her arrow ride the winds, as it approached a pair of meteorites, the Magical Arrow split into multiple arrows, the pair of meteorites were quickly destroyed, and this caught Sephiroth's attention.

(Cue Fortress of Solitude - Injustice 2)

A quick gaze to look at his opponent was met with an arrow impacting against the exposed skin on his torso, the momentum of the arrow was enough to launch Sephiroth, knocking him into a skyscraper, glass shattered and cement crumbled with the weight of Sephiroth's impact. Unable to continue casting his spell, Sephiroth's meteorites ceased showing up, as Madoka destroyed the remainder.

Adhering to gravity, Sephiroth fell from his crater in the skyscraper and fell many stories, crashing into the ground... heavily. Sephiroth even lost hold of Masamune, dropping the blade nearby. Madoka flew down to the ground where she pulled back another arrow, aiming to kill. Sephiroth slowly rose to one knee, he reached his hand out to Masamune's handle, only to see his uniform sported blood red, as well as cuts to his attire.

Acknowledging his opponent as being a legitimate threat, Sephiroth finally stood up on his two feet, he turned to see Madoka aiming an arrow right at him, with his cunning still in excellent condition, Sephiroth smiled, "You will know what true "terror" is", at Sephiroth's word, he held his left arm into the air. On command, a long black wing emerged from Sephiroth's back. Stretched out to reveal it's full length.

Shocked by the revelation, Madoka almost fired her arrow, but she hesitated when suddenly Sephiroth appeared to duplicate himself, at least five other Sephiroth appeared, Madoka panicked and wasn't able to sustain her arrow. Things became more worrisome for Madoka when all five of the Sephiroths ran toward Madoka and began attacking with their blades.

Knowing that range was not going to be her friend here, Madoka immediately took to the air to avoid the remarkable length of Masamune potentially stabbing her once again. Two of the Sephiroths, using their wings, showcasing their ability of flight. Madoka now realized she would be pursued even in the air. Nevertheless, she drew her bow and began sending arrows to the targets.

The two Sephiroths flew above Madoka, preparing their descent with a slash from their respective Masamune. Madoka had little time to decide and launched a Magical Arrow, and with her power, multiplied the arrow into twin arrows, both of the arrows struck the two Sephiroth, unexpectedly, the two Sephiroth strangely vanished. Madoka blinked for a moment, she wasn't sure if what she had just witnessed was correct.

But she couldn't get the chance to think about it for very long, the remaining three Sephiroth were circling Madoka at incredible speeds, she remained still in the air, a bit uncertain what to do next. The three Sephiroth all soared toward Madoka at the same time, their incredible speeds proving much too quick for Madoka.

Using flight to her benefit, Madoka evaded her assailants' attacks as best she could, though to her shock, a Masamune passed through her body, though the blade wasn't cutting anything, it just phased through her body and came out the other side. Madoka rotated herself around to see the trio of Sephiroth, "They're not real?" Madoka asked to herself.

What that information becoming abundantly clear to Madoka, she drew arrows and dispatched them toward the few Sephiroth pursuing her, immediately upon contact with Madoka's attack they vanish without a trace. Returning to the ground and landing on her feet, Madoka realized more Sephiroth were appearing, but no sign of the original, they were indistinguishable from the real one.

A group of Sephiroth ran toward Madoka, knowing that she was dealing with false appearances, Madoka drew her bow and launched another Magical Arrow, splitting it into multiple, defeating several Sephiroth simultaneously. Disappearing as Madoka's arrows impacted them. A number of them remained, however. The Sephiroth clones made swift approaches, but Madoka knew she wasn't fast enough.

Nevertheless, Madoka played defensively. These false versions of Sephiroth were swift and able to surround Madoka with relative ease. Flying circles around her with no trouble. With her targets within a reasonable distance, Madoka freed more arrows from her bow, though the sheer speed of the circling Sephiroth, Madoka's arrows completely missed their target.

Seeing that it was not a good idea to try and shoot down a flying target, even if it is looping around her. Madoka looked for the main Sephiroth and saw a Sephiroth standing still, with an arm in the air, seemingly calling green energy around him, Madoka pulled back and prepared to release an arrow. The other Sephiroths all made attacking strikes at Madoka simultaneously, but Madoka knew their attacks were only to distract.

Aiming her arrow true, she released it. Delivering the projectile toward the Sephiroth in the middle of using his healing magic. Struck in the back, Sephiroth's green aura ceased, and some of Sephiroth's wounds were not entirely patched up. Sephiroth turned to meet Madoka head-on. With Sephiroth's command, the illusions ceased, and now Sephiroth was able to resume battling.

"Give in to the dark." Sephiroth waved his hand, and orbs of pale light emerged. Surrounding Madoka, she stands still, unsure of what to do. With Sephiroth's word, the orbs themselves strike Madoka, the energy is strong, while not critically harming her, Madoka does feel the attack is magical. Madoka remains still in place, doing her best not to drop to the ground.

"That's enough", Sephiroth's words made his orbs cease, but as Madoka returned to normal, something travelled at speeds far impressively fast, in truth, Sephiroth performed a charging slash, successfully striking Madoka, Sephiroth stood still. Suddenly Madoka was attacked again. Thirteen magical blasts hit Madoka in almost instantaneous succession. Sephiroth smirked.

Waiting for his after effect to resolve, Sephiroth teleported to avoid a potential counterattack. A fair distance away now, Sephiroth watched Madoka still seemingly be intact after that attack. Sephiroth knew that he couldn't keep at a distance for too long, more arrows would come for him otherwise, and although he was faster than the girl, he couldn't evade her attacks forever.

Keeping hold of her weapon Madoka made a running approach toward Sephiroth, in-kind Sephiroth did the same. But the One-Winged Angel had another idea in mind, as the two approached one another Sephiroth stopped. Madoka, however, kept going, just as Sephiroth had hoped, "Perish now!" On his command, pillars of fire magic ignited and raised upward, the first one that emerged caught Madoka and the collision launched Madoka back several meters.

More and more pillars of flame continued to appear, at least five of them surrounded Sephiroth, leaving only small windows of open space available, while the rest were more spread out, trying to avert Madoka from her intended path. Madoka landed on the ground to see the pillars were many. At most fifteen pillars were in active use.

One by one, however, they began to die down and reveal more of the path for Madoka, she cast another Magical Arrow to her bow and aimed carefully, waiting for Sephiroth to become vulnerable from a distance, she waited and another pair of pillars descended, finally Sephiroth was visible and targetable. She pulled back on her arrow nice and tight, to get as straight an arrow as possible.

Her target was there and she was able to take the shot, so she wasted no time and took the shot. But Sephiroth smiled and teleported. Upon his reappearance, Sephiroth began ascending into the air "Descend...", the same pink aura surrounded Sephiroth's upper half as it had before, he also summoned a halo that sat atop Madoka's head. "...Heartless Angel." Madoka looked up at Sephiroth, casting another arrow for her immediate use.

But at that moment, Madoka suddenly felt her power weaken considerably, she fell to her knees and her arrow disappeared. Sephiroth gracefully landed on the ground, having successfully resolved his trademark attack. Madoka was afraid, she didn't know what was going, or why her magic felt like it was heavily reduced to the smallest amount.

Sephiroth walked forward slowly, seeing that Madoka was succumbing to his attack, Madoka's panic was swelling, and kept growing more and more, suddenly her Soul Gem lifted into the air, it's ascend caused a blinding white light, Sephiroth was unable to see. A brief moment passed and the light dissipated. Madoka then appeared inside a giant object shaped like a Soul Gem, pink, trimmed with gold, sporting a crown, and even had two outstretched extensions that looked like wings.

This was Madoka becoming caught up in the transformation into a Doppel, at this moment Madoka Kaname had transformed into Doppel Kriemhild, realizing her enhanced state, Sephiroth knew higher power was at play.

Part II - Planetary Crisis[]

(Cue Event 'Challenge' - Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record)

Wasting no time, Sephiroth stretched his arm into the air. On his command, meteorites emerged from the sky above, all aimed toward Kriemhild. The meteorites effortlessly struck Kriemhild, but the Witch was not simply an idle Doppel, Kriemhild took off into the air after being struck by a meteorite and primarily focused on avoiding additional meteorites, Sephiroth, now aware of Kriemhild's aerial capability, sustained his meteor shower.

With their continued onslaught, the meteorites remained focused on hitting Kriemhild, but Kriehimd proved she was much faster than her Magical Girl counterpart. As a result of the meteorites completely missing their target, a few crashed into tall skyscrapers, breaking the glass and setting some of the floors aflame. A short while later Sephiroth's meteorites finally ceased.

With his single black wing, Sephiroth, still being faster than even Doppel Kriemhild, approached her and with a thrust, impaled his sword into the pink exterior of the Soul Gem-like shape of Kriemhild's form, Sephiroth could see Madoka within Kriemhild, and just then noticed Madoka had an open hole on her chest. But Madoka's eyes were closed, she was asleep, much to Sephiroth's bewilderment.

But Kriemhild did not simply let that approach go unanswered. Suddenly Kriemhild pulls Sephiroth, grabbing hold of everything around it, Kriemhild pulls everything into a different dimension, Sephiroth observes his surroundings, realizing this was not the same dimension they were once in. Sephiroth took a moment to observe, seeing a dark ocean and a starry sky was what made up the basis of his dimension.

He looked around a brief moment before catching wind of Kriemhild traversing on the dark ocean, Sephiroth lifted himself off the watery surface. Flying just above. Moments later Kriemhild rapidly approached Sephiroth, Madoka from within Kriemhild suddenly opened her eyes. For a few moments, Madoka looked dazed, before finally, that hole in her chest suddenly emitted a pink light.

Madoka closed her eyes once again as the light intensified before finally revealing a formation of pink circles, with lines connecting them, this formation quickly expanded in size and encompassing a fair amount of the sky. To Sephiroth's confusion, suddenly he had been returned to their dimension. He gazed up only to see the pink circle formation above him.

Without warning, the energy from that formation violently struck the ground, causing a huge pink explosion, with Sephiroth right in the impact zone, the damage, however, was far too potent. The buildings in the city all crumbled and collapsed, the area of effect from Doppel Kriemhild was extraordinary, and the damage kept travelling, soon the damage expanded beyond the land.

It continued to cover other countries, levelling them to rubble, destroying all matter that could be destroyed, soon the attack had completely covered the entirety of planet Earth. The whole planet had been levelled, as the impact of the destructive attack slowly died down and visibility became much clearer, all the buildings in the city had been reduced to dust.

Absolutely nothing looked like what it once was Sephiroth was gone too, the only thing that remained after all this destruction and carnage was a body, something certainly damaged beyond repair, it did not look like Sephiroth at all. Upon closer inspection, it was the remains of an alien, Jenova. With things having been completely quelled and there being no further disruption, Doppel Kriemhild reverted to Madoka Kaname.

Immediately upon her recovery, Madoka felt her stamina and magic completely replenished, she felt fully invigorated, but she didn't relish in that for very long, upon her return to the world, Madoka looked around her to see that everything within sight had been completely levelled, and now there was nothing by rubble and dust for as far as the eye could.

She also couldn't see Sephiroth anymore, but did notice the excessively damaged body of something that looked like it might've been Sephiroth, Madoka slowly walked over to inspect it, to see what she could learn. It was completely unidentifiable, which only gave Madoka cause for concern.

She wasn't aware of her latent power as a Doppel, so this strange situation she found herself in truly cause for concern, she continued to walk for a short time, trying to see if anything else was salvageable, but she did not have much luck. She stood still for a moment, trying to console to any potential losses there may have been.

She then felt the energy of large, yet peaceful. Madoka wasn't sure what kind of energy it was, she gazed up into the sky to see that thin, long green lines were moving along the ground and in the air, she saw it go past her and continue travelling. Madoka saw the aerial energy headed in the same direction. Curious as to what this was, Madoka pursued the energy, following its' movement to see where it would lead.

Travelling at impressive Mach speeds, Madoka was able to successfully keep up with the green beam energy, and as she continued to follow it, suddenly more of them began appearing from different directions and trajectories, "Are they congregating somewhere?" Madoka thought to herself as she kept flying.

A short time of travel only further confirmed Madoka's thoughts, more and more of the energy was unifying together, all racing towards a singular location, Madoka maintained her chase, intent to find out the nature of this unusual phenomenon. Madoka finally noticed the energy was meeting at a crater, with interest to know what was in the crater, Madoka flew into it and landed with her two feet.

She found someone floating in the air just above the crater, it looked like Sephiroth. Madoka was not relieved to see his survival, Sephiroth noted the arrival of Madoka. He ascended further into the air, rotating full three-sixty degrees, flashes of white light momentarily blinded Madoka, and space seemed to distort around Sephiroth. Suddenly everything around Sephiroth seems to be pulled toward him, including Madoka. Everything went black for a moment.

The return of visibility brought with it an unusual environment, there were platforms of a red-like colour. Madoka briefly looked around, then she saw something she couldn't have possibly imagined, to her shock it was some kind of strange creature. It looked like it sported a rough exterior and looked like it possessed lowered wings for hands, it had one head with two horns, a body on top of that head, near the bottom of the torso, was a sphere that glowed yellow. Unbeknownst to her, she had stumbled upon Sephiroth's next transformation, Bizarro∙Sephiroth.

(Cue Birth of a God - Final Fantasy VII)

In this new form, Bizarro∙Sephiroth towered over Madoka, but the Magical Girl was not afraid, holding onto her bow, she took a moment to observe Bizarro∙Sephiroth's overall appearance, some parts of Bizarro∙Sephiroth acted of their own accord, one of the wings reached outward to Madoka, the groud shakes around them as a faint barrier surrounds Madoka.

Flames abruptly ignite on Madoka, damaging her, but not lethally. Madoka took flight and started looking for points of interest on Bizarro∙Sephiroth, Madoka saw the body situated above the horned head. She cast a Magical Arrow and fired it toward that uppermost body. But the form of Bizarro∙Sephiroth is much sturdier than Sephiroth had been prior, while not knocked about by the arrow, the damage was mostly minor.

Bizarro∙Sephiroth remained in the same spot, but ever wary of Madoka's movements, Bizarro∙Sephiroth's wing reached out, this time casting thunder magic, a bolt of lightning appeared, zapping from above Madoka. But she successfully evaded the attack. Though only narrowly. Bizarro∙Sephiroth physically moved, using the effect of Graviga to crash into Madoka herself.

Almost screaming from such a gargantuan object colliding with her, Madoka flew out of the way, Bizarro∙Sephiroth crashed into the ground only briefly, and it shortly returned to its original position. Seeing that attacking the uppermost body wasn't effective, Madoka decided to switch her target, she looked at the core, with the yellow light glowing, Madoka pulled back a magical arrow and with precision, guided the arrow to the core.

With that attack more damaging, Madoka realized that would be an ideal spot to attack again. But before she could attack a second time, Bizarro∙Sephiroth intervened, using its wing to cast another attack, This time ice magic appeared and successfully connected with Madoka. Feeling the cold chill of the attack, Madoka accelerated her flight.

In a short time, Madoka completely recovered from her icy chill. She continued to fly around the crater, continually looking for places to strike Bizarro∙Sephiroth, Madoka recalls there is a head with horns situated below the human body, Madoka flies to face Bizarro∙Sephiroth's front. She readies an arrow and delivers it to Bizarro∙Sephiroth's main head.

The arrow did some damage, Bizarro∙Sephiroth responded with another attack, this time Bizarro∙Sephiroth descended and crashed into the ground, causing the ground to quake around it. Madoka thankfully had already been in the air beforehand. But the impact of Bizarro∙Sephiroth caused some earth to launch into the air, one piece of it hit Madoka from beneath her.

Knocked to the ground by the chunk of earth, Madoka dropped her bow. The bow reverted to its staff form. Bizarro∙Sephiroth moved one of its wings, casting fire magic once again. Madoka was caught up in the blaze of supremely powerful magic. She felt the temperature increasing, noticing parts of her clothing were aflame. But Madoka wasn't held down by the flames. She stood back up, grabbing her staff and ascending into the air.

The flames that were once caught on her clothing quickly went out thanks to the strength of the winds. Bizarro∙Sephiroth continued to observe his lone opponent. Madoka's staff quickly extruded and formed back into the bow, as though Madoka commanded, yet she had not said anything. Casting another arrow to her bow, Madoka kept a grip on her bow as she started circling Bizarro∙Sephiroth.

Observing more and more of Bizarro∙Sephiroth's exterior, Madoka launched another arrow, aiming this one at Bizarro∙Sephiroth's right-wing. the one that had primarily been casting magic throughout their encounter so far. Deciding this would be an effective target, Madoka freed her arrow. Striking against the right-wing, the wing suddenly froze, suspended in animation.

Bizarro∙Sephiroth had now lost the ability to use that part of his body. But he knew that he still had a handful other parts of his larval state he could use. The primary head of Bizarro∙Sephiroth took the next action, Bizarro∙Sephiroth's forehead commenced glowing with a green light. His two wings each sported a single green light shining at the centre of each respective wing.

This was one of his techniques, Bizarro Energy. Healing magic that he chose to cast on his primary head, completely recovering from the damage it had received from Madoka's arrows. Madoka herself watched this unfold, certainly identifying the usage of magic in that technique. Madoka had another arrow ready to be cast, Bizarro∙Sephiroth motioned his left-wing and cast another spell on Madoka.

Suddenly, Madoka felt her body slowing considerably, while her mind was still running at normal speeds, her body physically considerably slowed, her arm was still pulling back the arrow, only it felt a lot slower and the weight she was putting into the arrow pullback. She tried moving her feet to continue moving, but even they too were slowed, resulting in her staying on the ground.

Too concerned that staying still like this would only result in unfavourable situations for her, Madoka took off into the air, though she was affected by Bizarro∙Sephiroth's Slow, she was still capable of movement, only taking double the time to achieve now. In just a couple seconds, Madoka was successfully airborne. Another couple seconds pass and Madoka dispatched her arrow, aiming for Bizarro∙Sephiroth.

Madoka's Magical Arrow, while formed during Madoka's decreased speed, returned to normal speed upon freedom from her bow. Targetting the recently rejuvenated head of Bizarro∙Sephiroth, the arrow struck it successfully, Madoka saw her successful attack and thought to herself, "Slowing down helped my accuracy!", with this tactic now viable, Madoka slowly, but surely, cast another Magical Arrow to her bow.

Bizarro∙Sephiroth knew a second attempt was coming up. And with a motion from his left-wing, cast another spell. A thunderbolt appeared above Madoka, and her reduced speeds preventing her from escaping this time around. Striking her directly from above, the thunder magic completely stopped Madoka's attack. With her lack of momentum, Madoka was pushed to the ground by the strength of the thunder magic, hitting the ground, although not as quickly or abruptly thanks to Bizarro∙Sephiroth's Slow.

Climbing back onto her feet, Madoka's body was still bound by Slow, but she the effects of it were starting to wear off, Madoka could move her limbs and they were feeling normal, to test her returning speed, Madoka spawned a magical arrow, she felt everything happening in succession much faster, but still not at the quickest speeds she was normally used to.

With an arrow at the ready, Madoka fired at Bizarro∙Sephiroth's right-wing. Successful damage on the wing immediately caused Bizarro∙Sephiroth to respond with an attack, using his right-wing. Quaking the ground beneath it, Bizarro∙Sephiroth erupts the earth below, launching chunks of earth up toward Madoka. Swift flight thanks to Madoka allows her to prevent being hit this time around.

Looking over at one of the pieces of earth, Madoka realized it looked big enough to be stood on. Madoka glided over to her desired piece of earth to land on. Adhering to gravity, after the vertical ascent to reach Madoka, it began to descend back down to earth. Using her new high ground, Madoka cast another magical arrow. Selecting a target, Madoka delivered her arrow to the recipient.

Another arrow damaged Bizarro∙Sephiroth's head. Bizarro∙Sephiroth took action once again, casting magic with its remaining wing. The green light shined on Bizarro∙Sephiroth's head, signalling his use of the healing technique, Bizarro Energy. Restoring a plentiful amount of health to his chosen body part, Bizarro∙Sephiroth chose the more damaged of his two vulnerable body parts, the wing.

Mended from his damage, for now, Bizarro∙Sephiroth assumed his regular position, awaiting Madoka's actions to see what he would do next. Madoka throughout witnessed Bizarro∙Sephiroth's healing, noticed the technique being used once again. Madoka drew her arrow yet again, delivering her foe another strike to the wing. Bizarro∙Sephiroth initially did not act on this, remaining idle, awaiting the attacks he knew were yet to come.

Seeking to stay on her current course, Madoka took a step and realized the effects of Slow had finally subsided, and now she was back to her normal speed. Madoka sprinted and leapt into the air, her power of fight assisting her ascent. But instead of flying closer to Bizarro∙Sephiroth, Madoka instead flew a little further away. "I might get a better shot while also staying out of the range of its attacks." Madoka decidedly thought to herself.

With her now being just a couple meters outside of the usual range demonstrated by Bizarro∙Sephiroth, Madoka pulled back another magical arrow, but Bizarro∙Sephiroth, more than aware of Madoka's distant tactics, extended its wing to cast a magic technique yet again. Madoka, fully aware of Bizarro∙Sephiroth's actions and what followed thereafter, made one change in her tactic.

From Bizarro∙Sephiroth's magic, came a fireball, aimed right at Madoka. But the Magical GIrl was anticipating an attack and flew to her right, successfully evading the great ball of flame, however simply evading it did not dismiss its existence, the high-level magic that cast the fireball kept it intact, the fireball ultimately crashed into the crater, the fireball lost its form, but the flames spread out onto the ground.

With the flames heating the ground, Madoka had no choice but to approach Bizarro∙Sephiroth, ascending into the air. But this was favourable for the Magical Girl. Madoka now had a perfect window of opportunity to use to her advantage. Seeing that Bizarro∙Sephiroth's wing was still contributing to casting magic, Madoka knew what part she had to take out next.

Pulling back her arrow and focusing her sight so it aligns with the trajectory of her arrow, she aimed for the wing. She closed her left eye, using her right eye to help focus her precision, she glanced at the right-wing, seeing it was returning to its normal position. Only a second or two passes. And with her freedom from counterattack, Madoka pulled her arrow back, strengthening the speed and potency of the arrow.

Having chosen the wing to strike, the arrow soared across the crater, in no time at all the arrow struck Bizarro∙Sephiroth's remaining wing. The pink energy that formed the arrow collided with the wing, the impact was not major, but Bizarro∙Sephiroth did experience a brief pushback, with the wing itself pushed out of its normal position.

Bizarro∙Sephiroth was still impeccably sturdy, and while he had taken damage, it wasn't enough to break through, both the head as well as the core was still in sustainable levels of health, and those at least would need to be damaged if Madoka wanted to get through him. Bizarro∙Sephiroth simply returned to his normal battle position, his wing also returning to its original position.

With the battle continuing to rage on, Madoka's replenished stamina was not wearing down, but she could feel this was a battle of attrition and would be a matter of who could outlast the other, whether it would be Bizarro∙Sephiroth's durability or Madoka's capability. "The fight will continue... So long as the Hope inside my heart is still alive." Madoka thought aloud to herself, her resolve was unchanged. Determined to overcome Despair with Hope.

With her drive still holding her together, Madoka took another chance to observe Bizarro∙Sephiroth. Madoka remembered the yellow core situated just below the torso. She also recalled the horned head, and that it would emit light sometimes, and of course, Madoka knew the wing she had to finish off, it certainly appeared to be the most damaged part of Bizarro∙Sephiroth's overall body.

Bizarro∙Sephiroth remained at the ready, knowing that the destruction of one of his body parts was going to result in the sequential losses of his remaining limbs, this was inevitable. But this truth was ultimately going to bring about the greatest power Bizarro∙Sephiroth could showcase, it was just a matter of what Madoka's next actions would be.

The flames that burned nearby had died down due to the lack of flammable materials to keep it going. Madoka spent brief moments considering her options but knew she needed to wear down Bizarro∙Sephiroth or there would be trouble, and not just for her, but the planet itself. Madoka stood on a platform situated near Bizarro∙Sephiroth, there she rested on one knee, taking careful pockets of time she could afford to decide her attacks.

Using its wing, Bizarro∙Sephiroth cast another magical technique, calling upon a technique he had not frequently used, chunks of Ice appeared above Madoka and through simply obeying gravity, falls to meet the platform housing Madoka. Able to look up in time and react, Madoka leapt from her platform and jumped to the ground. The radius of the crater was wide and the depth considerably deep, so much so it seemed like the two were inside a cavern.

Madoka still had a clear shot at Bizarro∙Sephiroth, she cast her magical arrow to her bow. Steadying her hand, Madoka kept her grip, ensuring she wouldn't miss her target. Only seconds later, Madoka embarked her arrow upon its journey to strike down Bizarro∙Sephiroth, but while she had been primarily been using singular arrows to strike at Bizarro∙Sephiroth, this time she decided to just cut to the chase.

As her arrow approached Bizarro∙Sephiroth, the arrow split in two, and with her precision, one of the arrows struck the remaining wing still intact, while the other arrow impacted Bizarro∙Sephiroth on the head. Bizarro∙Sephiroth hadn't expected the splitting arrows, and he paid for that lack of foresight with now both of his wings being rendered ineffective.

With it now being safe for Madoka to get closer, Madoka flew up to the platform she had previously situated herself on, although Bizarro∙Sephiroth was considerably weakened, he was not without access to other abilities. Bizarro∙Sephiroth rotated himself to faced Madoka and using his sheer physical size and mass to his advantage. Seeing that Madoka is standing on a platform, Bizarro∙Sephiroth set a crash course with it.

Alarmed by the sudden decision, Madoka jumped into the air, the platform crumbled and completely gave in to the overbearing weight of Bizarro∙Sephiroth, while having lost that vantage point, Madoka hatched an idea, while she had jumped into the air, she was still capable of landing a shot. In the middle of her jump, Madoka was upside down, she decided this was too opportune a moment. She cast her magical arrow and directly hit Bizarro∙Sephiroth on the head.

Not anticipating such an interesting maneuver, Bizarro∙Sephiroth turned himself toward Madoka shortly. The Magical Girl completed her jump and swiftly landed on the ground. Although she had lost the platform, she had decided the focus needed to remain on taking down her opponent. Madoka lifted herself into the air, using her flight to stand somewhat evenly with Bizarro∙Sephiroth.

Looking at Bizarro∙Sephiroth dead in the eyes, almost locking eyes with the gargantuan creature, Madoka drew her arrow once again. Pulling back with her magical arrow, Madoka once again chose her target to be the head. Upon freeing her arrow a multitude of arrows instead raced across the distance in one direction, all striking Bizarro∙Sephiroth's head.

The rapid succession of multiple arrows did the trick, damaging Bizarro∙Sephiroth's head. This time enough damage had been dealt, and now the only major part left to deal with was the core. Having successfully worn Bizarro∙Sephiroth down to his last body part, Madoka knew this was going to be the part that would turn the tables.

Still afloat, Madoka directed her attention to the core, glowing with a yellow hue. Bizarro∙Sephiroth simply stood still. Madoka outstretched her right hand, materializing pink energy, which was manipulated into taking the form of a magical arrow. The arrow, now an object for Madoka to use, was grabbed by the Magical Girl. She placed the arrow in the appropriate position and angled her bow, aimed toward the core.

With her bow ready, Madoka rested two fingers on the rear end of the arrow and pulled her elbow back. Her two fingers meeting next to Madoka's right eye. The pink flower at the tip-top of the arrow ignited, flaring out pink energy, akin to that of a flame. In the skies above, the formation of pink circles and lines appeared. Madoka shifted her target from Bizarro∙Sephiroth to that formation in the sky.

With all her strength, Madoka launched the arrow skyward, the pink arrow soared and as though it were a target, the arrow went through the middle of the centermost circle. Moments later, an abrupt outburst of energy shook everything within a range comparable to that of a city. Suddenly pink arrows rained down from the sky.

The arrows rained down everywhere, Bizarro∙Sephiroth too was bombarded by pink arrows, and the force was so great the core weakened, dozens of arrows struck Bizarro∙Sephiroth. The core couldn't hold up against this many, and it gave in. While Madoka had been watching the sky above, she suddenly noticed Bizarro∙Sephiroth was moving.

But in truth, Bizarro∙Sephiroth had now run out of functioning body parts, and very slowly began falling, as though gravity could not hold him. It was like watching a tower collapse, tipping onto one side and careening to the ground. But before Bizarro∙Sephiroth ever reached the ground, he shined red all over before suddenly vanishing. Things went black once again. An eery sound could be heard from within the darkness, it was heard four times, with each time becomes fainter before it could no longer be heard.

For a brief moment, Madoka could not see anything, but then light emerged, and Madoka could see her surroundings, only to realize her environment changed once again. Purple clouds surrounded them, formed in a way that looked like the inside of a cylinder. Madoka looked for Bizarro∙Sephiroth, but he was not there. Then from high above, something of exuberant radiance descended from the clouds above.

Part III - Battle of Gods[]

(Cue One-Winged Angel - Final Fantasy VII)

Madoka gasped at the astonishing sight that lay before her. A being with a cloud on their bottom half, with six massive wings extruding from it, all sporting blue colouring at the tips of the wings. The top half looked like a shirtless man, sporting silver-white hair, though it was raised, as though it was defying the laws of gravity. Above his head were two linked halos, one significantly bigger than the other, bearing a sun symbol.

This being's left arm was that of a human's, but the right arm was a dark red wing. After assessing all these details, Madoka looked more intently at the human components of this being, only to realize that it was Sephiroth! But his power had risen to an even greater level, something truly extraordinary, what appeared before her was the infamous Safer∙Sephiroth.

Immediately, Madoka fired an arrow at Safer∙Sephiroth, the angelic being taking small damage. Safer∙Sephiroth motioned his left arm, casting the Wall technique, forming a small but distinct barrier in front of himself, positioning the barrier in the usual trajectory of Madoka's arrow. Though it was not a physical barrier, it was mostly superficial, appearing briefly when the spell was cast, but then fading.

Now with a damage-mitigating barrier to help against both physical and magical attacks, Safer∙Sephiroth dispensed his concern, frankly being able to tank anything his opponent could throw at him. Seeing what technique Safer∙Sephiroth had cast, Madoka decided to think about her next actions carefully, she was quite unsure as to what kind of power this new Sephiroth possessed.

Trying a variant of her ability, Madoka drew her magical arrow, aiming at Safer∙Sephiroth. Freeing her arrow, Madoka's attack got halfway toward Safer∙Sephiroth when the arrow split in two, both arrows struck Safer∙Sephiroth, though not with much success. Safer∙Sephiroth motioned his left arm once again, then reaching outward to Madoka.

Casting yet another magical technique of this, Shadow Flare. his time Madoka's surroundings flashed white, as small black circles started moving in on the magical girl. They were quick and in great numbers. Before Madoka knew it the technique had been carried out, and the magic caused an eruption, Madoka was knocked off her feet and onto the cloudy ground. Though the magical nature was quickly recognized by Madoka.

Safer∙Sephiroth watched as the magical girl rose back to her feet. Madoka ascended into the air, using her flight to stand evenly with Safer∙Sephiroth, with her attacks being able to reach Safer∙Sephiroth regardless of where he was concerning Madoka. Casting her arrow, aiming right for Safer∙Sephiroth's chest, Madoka launched her magical arrow, but upon being freed from the bow, more arrows quickly formed, a group of arrows all travelling in the same direction, all aiming for the same target.

Safer∙Sephiroth is bombarded by a swarm of arrows all striking him in the front, dealing some notable damage to him. Madoka completes her attack, but not before Safer∙Sephiroth deploys an immediate counterattack. Safer∙Sephiroth's left his right arm, the dark red wing started behaving more like a body part. Safer∙Sephiroth lifted his dark red wing upward, and then swung it downward on Madoka, the bluntness of the wing sent Madoka plummeting down to the ground.

Returning his dark red wing to its original position to his right, Safer∙Sephiroth continued to look down at Madoka on the ground. Not having expected a physical strike from a being such as that, Madoka, laying on the ground, looked to see her staff just within arm's reach. Reaching out with her left hand, Madoka grabbed her staff. With her weapon now back in her grasp, Madoka stood back up on her two feet.

In no time at all, Madoka was ready to resume the fight. Reforming her staff into the bow, Madoka cast another magical arrow for her immediate use, adjusting her aim upward, the vertical ascent would be enough to strike Safer∙Sephiroth, and with her precision, the launched arrow climbed up high enough, striking Safer∙Sephiroth on the cloud that made up for the bottom half of his body.

His foe made yet another successful attack, Safer∙Sephiroth's time to make a move, though this time instead of casting a spell or using his dark red wing as a blunt object, Safer∙Sephiroth instead started flapping his bottom wings, allowing him to fly higher into the air, putting him outside the range of melee attacks. Madoka looked higher up to follow Safer∙Sephiroth's movements and realized she too must ascend.

Lifting herself off the ground, Madoka also flew into the air, her ascent putting her on even levels with Safer∙Sephiroth once again, Madoka prepared for what might be a repeat of last time, keeping an eye on Safer∙Sephiroth's dark red wing. It hadn't moved to attack her, so Madoka was feeling safer than she had been before. But knew she needed to land attacks while she could.

A rinse and repeat, Madoka fired a magical arrow from her bow, splitting the arrow into two, the attack successfully connected with Safer∙Sephiroth, dealing some damage. Without warning, Safer∙Sephiroth reached his left arm outward, on command, Safer∙Sephiroth cast a potent magic technique, Pale Horse. A blue beam of magical energy launched from his hand, targetting Madoka.

Unable to avoid the beam, Madoka was pulled into the beam's momentum, careening down to the ground, and causing a magical explosion upon contact with it. Madoka fell to her knees, but she was still in one piece. Though now Madoka was growing tired of being knocked to the ground, she couldn't deny the sheer strength in her opponent's powers, they truly seemed like that of a God's power.

With Safer∙Sephiroth being elevated higher than normal, Madoka had to once again launch her arrow higher into the air. Pulling the arrow back, focusing her power. Shifting her bow alignment to be horizontal instead of vertical. Madoka steadily held onto her bow, ensuring her arrow would follow her intended trajectory to meet such a sky-high opponent. Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, Madoka released her arrow.

Ascending diagonally, the arrow's aim was true, and Safer∙Sephiroth was dealt a direct blow to the chest. Looking down, he saw the little girl could still put up a fight. Safer∙Sephiroth continued to gaze from his elevated point. A smirk came over the One-Winged Angel's face. "Behold the truth." Speaking for the first time in a while, Safer∙Sephiroth had only ruination to bring.

Ascending slightly further into the sky, Safer∙Sephiroth stretched his arm and dark red wing as though he was about to receive a gift from the heavens above. Safer∙Sephiroth's six wings also stretched out, all of them symmetrical. Safer∙Sephiroth vanished from sight. Suddenly the purple cloudy environment shattered, breaking apart as though it was fragile glass, disappearing into the pitch-black void of space.

After it had all shattered and faded away, what remained was the distant shining stars in deep space. From the vast reaches of outer space, a comet emerged. This comet was racing across the great emptiness that was space. Suddenly it's direction was revealed, some light-years away was a system of stars, dust, and gas. This was, of course, the Milky Way Galaxy.

The comet was travelling at impressive speeds, within seconds it had already made its approach toward planets in the galaxy named by humankind. Over five billion kilometres away from the nearest star, resides the dwarf planet, Pluto. This was the comet's first victim. In mere moments, the comet's blitzing speeds proved too strong for the dwarf planet to bear, the celestial object destroyed.

Astonishingly, the comet was not remotely slowed or hindered by its direct collision with Pluto. The comet raced forward, travelling further into the known Solar System. Travelling four billion kilometres in just a matter of seconds, the comet fast approached another of the planets, Saturn. The comet's approach this time was not a direct collision with the gas giant, a narrow miss. But that did not leave the rings of Saturn unscathed.

The comet cut its way through the rings of Saturn, destroying the very dust, rock, and ice accumulated around Saturn's rings. The beautiful sight was now tarnished. But the many elements that composed Saturn's rings proved too insignificant to stop the comet. The comet had no wavered and continued its path of destruction. As it travelled closer to the centre to the Solar System, there was yet another stop for it to make.

Jupiter, the largest planet in the Solar System. The gas giant was no stranger to catching stray object floating through space, its gravitational influence was significant enough it helped shape the very Solar System. Having travelled six-hundred fifty million kilometres from Saturn, the comet soon arrived into Jupiter's territory. The immense gravitational pull was immediately factored in, the comet was pulled into a collision with the colossal planet.

The comet raced straight into Jupiter, with its unimaginable speed. Completely breaking through the planet's core and emerging out the other side, for a moment revealing Jupiter's completely open and exposed hole. But with the core completely eviscerated, Jupiter was unable to remain intact, it quickly became unstable and the mighty gas giant exploded, wiping it from the face of the Solar System.

Having successfully conquered its way through the outer planets of the Solar System, the comet roared it's way closer and closer to its centre. Travelling seven-hundred seventy-eight million kilometres, the comet raced directly toward the Sun. The comet vanished from sight, it would seem as though its time had come. For a short moment, there was peace, no disruptions.

But suddenly, the Sun flared. Reaching critical mass. With this phenomenon triggered, the Sun began to increase in size, resulting in the powerful and luminous stellar explosion, Super Nova. With its expansion, the Super Nova begins to encompass millions of kilometres. As it grows, the planets that orbit the star are imminent victims of the star's tremendous presence.

Fifty-eight million kilometres away, resided the planet Mercury, the closest known planet orbiting the Sun. With it's expanding size, Mercury was the Super Nova's first victim. The planet heating up and breaking apart as the Sun's size greeted the first of its many orbiting planets. Though it continued to grow, becoming larger and larger, covering more ground within the Solar System.

An additional fifty million kilometres travelled and the Super Nova reaches Venus, the second planet in the Solar System. Just like its predecessor, the Super Nova completely envelops the planet, breaking apart and melting under the Sun's immense heat.

But perhaps the most fearsome phase of the Super Nova is what laid out before Madoka's eyes. Making a steady approach, the Sun's forty-two million kilometre arrival to the planet was welcomed by Safer∙Sephiroth. Madoka was shocked to see Safer∙Sephiroth standing in front of the approach Super Nova. "W-What the..." Madoka was in shock by the image she saw.

Safer∙Sephiroth standing in front of the approaching Super Nova, with rocky debris floating around. "W-What is that?" Madoka worrying asked. "Super... Nova" Safer∙Sephiroth spoke. The chilling words enforcing his claim. The distance of the Sun grew closer and closer, with that in mind, Safer∙Sephiroth elaborated further. "I saw your transformation could bring us into other dimensions. So I used my power to bring us here. Witness Oblivion!"

At the behest of the One-Winged Angel, the Sun approached, Safer∙Sephiroth seemingly phased into the sun, staying completely intact, but Madoka, not so much. With the Sun enveloping her, she burned under the inconceivable heat, the Super Nova proving far too potent, even for the likes of Madoka's physiology. Unable to escape nor endure, Madoka withered away until nothing of her remained.

With the completion of Super Nova, Safer∙Sephiroth returned to the original dimension. Only upon his return, he was not greeted by an opponent. Safer∙Sephiroth floated aimlessly, he had intended his opponent's defeat, and successfully carried it out. With this in mind, it was time for Safer∙Sephiroth to further harness the Planet's energy, ensuring the goal of reaching the Promised Land.

(Cue Sagitta Luminis - Puella Magi Madoka Magica)

As he commences his approach, Safer∙Sephiroth notices an abnormality in the clouds, several small white images appear, as though shooting stars soaring by. They also had a faintly noticeably pink glow about them. All of them looked identical in every way. Safer∙Sephiroth watched them more intently, seeing what would become of this, as he had no idea himself.

From nowhere, a floating object appeared, with more than forty nail-like platforms, and what looked like bubbles situated behind them. The images proceeded to land on the platforms, as they landed, what was thought of as images were beings, and all of them were Madoka. As though the music was playing in their ears, the legion of Madoka all held hands performing choreographed movements.

From there, every Madoka raised their right leg, akin to a ballerina, and spun on the spot, afterwards, each of them leapt to their adjacent platform. All of them continued performing, culminating in all of them raising their left arm's with their index fingers pointed toward the skies. Collectively, their maneuvers made thin pink lines appear on command.

They all ascended into the air, where after a brief moment, they all assembled and tied together, akin to braids. Seconds later, from within, the lines all erupted and split apart, revealing something at the centre of it all. A subsequent flash of light blinded Safer∙Sephiroth for a second. When his vision returned shortly thereafter, a new sight entirely was revealed to him.

Floating several meters away was someone in a long white dress that split to reveal the inside resembling the many stars in the night sky, long flowing pink hair that stretched out for meters on end. All of it complimented by her shining luminosity and a pair of wings formed of pink energy. Safer∙Sephiroth looked intently, seeking to know just who this being was. He almost froze in place to learn this was Madoka, only this was her true self, Ultimate Madoka.

Seeing Safer∙Sephiroth still in his usual position, Ultimate Madoka looked forward, "I won't abandon hope." Ultimate Madoka said to herself. She observed the world around her, seeing it had been reduced to ruin, and that not much hope remained for the world. And that things needed to change. "This is the world I see now." Ultimate Madoka lamented.

Safer∙Sephiroth realized that Ultimate Madoka was just floating there, not doing anything at all. Seeing that he was still at the peak of his power, he decided to attack. Waving his hand, Safer∙Sephiroth once again cast Shadow Flare, the orbs of darkness quickly approach and lash at Ultimate Madoka, who does not defend nor counter in any way, simply allowing the attack to approach her.

With his attack a success, Safer∙Sephiroth waited to see the result, when the light once again granted clarity of sight, Safer∙Sephiroth glanced with intent, only to discover Ultimate Madoka was perfectly intact, completely unaffected by the technique. Realizing that Madoka had become much, much stronger than before, Safer∙Sephiroth decided to maintain his current course of action.

Ultimate Madoka decided to approach Safer∙Sephiroth, seeing that she had appeared a fair distance away, reacting in response to Ultimate Madoka's approach, Safer∙Sephiroth cast yet another technique of his. This time he decided to once again use Pale Horse. Conducting the blue energy in his left hand, he fired the beam of energy directly toward Ultimate Madoka.

However, it was proving ineffective. The attack was not damaging Ultimate Madoka, nor was it slowing her down, she continued to make her gentle and slow approach to the One-Winged Angel. Seeing his attack was futile, Safer∙Sephiroth stopped manifesting Pale Horse. Ultimate Madoka decided it was time to pitch in once again. "I won't let hope end in despair!".

With her volition holding even in her true state, she remembered what she had been told by Sephiroth earlier. Safer∙Sephiroth decided it was time to act yet again, with his dark red wing, Safer∙Sephiroth swung his limb at Ultimate Madoka. But suddenly Ultimate Madoka vanished from thin air, Safer∙Sephiroth returned his arm to its original position.

Looking around to see if he could locate her, Safer∙Sephiroth remained at the ready, his sheer power was prepped for immediate use. "There's no need for despair!" Ultimate Madoka's voice echoed all around Safer∙Sephiroth, alerting him promptly, Safer∙Sephiroth looked for his opponent, and only after a brief while did he finally notice Ultimate Madoka floating in the distance.

With his vast array of abilities, Safer∙Sephiroth decided to use one he had not tried yet, the element of surprise undoubtedly going to catch the girl off guard. Waving his arm and casting another magical technique, this time Safer∙Sephiroth cast his Break technique. Ultimate Madoka watched as rock began forming around her, but it was no cause for concern, she simply vanished from that area, leaving the rock to inflict damage on nothing.

Safer∙Sephiroth had once again witnessed just how quickly Ultimate Madoka could vanish, only this time he knew she would re-emerge. Simply floating within his humble domain, Safer∙Sephiroth waited patiently, knowing the fight wasn't over yet. Ultimate Madoka reappeared, seeing that her opponent was still intent on fighting his way out.

She knew that this conflict had to come to an end, not for her sake, or even his opponent's, but for the sake of the Universe itself. She was aware of the damage dealt in the other dimension, and she could only imagine the possibilities in this dimension. Safer∙Sephiroth noticed her presence once again. Though this time Safer∙Sephiroth cast Wall instead, strengthening his defences.

Ultimate Madoka closed her eyes, thinking to herself, "I've decided to fight, I must bring this to an end". Opening her golden eyes, Ultimate Madoka raised her arm into the air, materializing a bow into her hand, the arrow forming alongside it. Taking hold of the arrow, Ultimate Madoka aimed her weapon at Safer∙Sephiroth. Releasing her arrow, it travelled to meet Safer∙Sephiroth, impacting directly on Safer∙Sephiroth's chest.

It was the single hardest strike the One-Winged Angel had taken in this state. Staggering under the weight of such an attack, Safer∙Sephiroth was hurt, a wound had opened itself up on Safer∙Sephiroth's torso. But with the planet's bountiful resources to aid him, Safer∙Sephiroth endured. Ultimate Madoka lowered her bow, only to see that her opponent was still in one piece.

Although she was troubled by this, she was also a bit relieved. She did not want anyone to die, but deep down she knew her wishes were not without a heavy price. Safer∙Sephiroth meanwhile, ready to attack once again, decided to stick to his offensive attacks, waving his left arm in his usual fashion, Safer∙Sephiroth cast Pale Horse once again, the beam of energy stretching and coming forward to Ultimate Madoka.

Focusing her attention on Pale Horse, Ultimate Madoka drew a magical arrow once again, aiming it carefully. At her behest, Ultimate Madoka launched her magical arrow, its energy rushing forward and clashing with
Pale Horse. With both of their attacks colliding, the two supremely powerful beings continued to observe, seeing which of them would prevail.

Safer∙Sephiroth remained confident in the supremacy of his power. Ultimate Madoka remained still, keeping a close eye on the two clashing energy attacks. For a little while, the two attacks seemed to be evenly matched, almost cancelling each other out. But the struggle was over in a flash. When the view became clear, the energy struggle ended in Madoka's favour.

Half of his dark red wing had been torn from his limb, the One-Winged Angel realized this all too late, and much like losing one's arm, Safer∙Sephiroth trembled under this unexpected revelation, his godly visage had been broken. Now considerably enraged, Safer∙Sephiroth flew to Ultimate Madoka at blinding speeds. Intent on inflicting as much pain back onto her as possible.

Closing the distance between them, Safer∙Sephiroth attempted a close-range jab at Ultimate Madoka with his torn wing. Ultimate Madoka vanished just moments before the strike could connect. Understandably enraging him even further. Reappearing a small distance away, Ultimate Madoka stood there patiently, upon turning himself around, Safer∙Sephiroth noticed immediately and charged at her once again.

During his approach, Safer∙Sephiroth motioned his arm, casting Shadow Flare yet again, the orbs of darkness took form, and immediately made their way toward Ultimate Madoka. With a clear view of the projectiles approaching her, Ultimate Madoka swiftly cast her magical arrows, striking down each of them with unprecedented speed.

Casting even more of Shadow Flare, Safer∙Sephiroth unleashed a wave of the dark orbs as opposed to a select few, In the number of multiple dozens. With a motion from his arm and his closing fist, Safer∙Sephiroth's order saw the many Shadow Flares surround Ultimate Madoka at every angle. Noting her surroundings, Ultimate Madoka continued to wait, seeing what would become of this developing situation.

With his vigorous plan of attack in prime position, Safer∙Sephiroth finally put it to work. All the Shadow Flares gravitated toward Ultimate Madoka as though she was a magnet attracting them. Ultimate Madoka did not move or attempt to flee from the attack, instead, she allowed all of the projectiles to approach her and strike. A big explosion covered the area where Ultimate Madoka stood.

All those Shadow Flares colliding into the same object and exploding yielded potent results. Safer∙Sephiroth gazed, looking to see if Ultimate Madoka had survived that congregation of attacks. As the explosion subsided, it revealed exactly what Safer∙Sephiroth wanted, Ultimate Madoka was no longer there. Thinking it a fitting way to end this battle, Safer∙Sephiroth turned and embarked.

(Cue Super Saiyan Trunks - Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle)

"It's not over yet!" Ultimate Madoka shouted! Before Safer∙Sephiroth could turn, a magical arrow struck him directly at his blindspot, staggering the One-Winged Angel, knocking him off balance. Ultimate Madoka appeared a fair distance away and had seemingly tanked the Shadow Flare bombardment with no issue. In retaliation, Safer∙Sephiroth cast Wall once again, enhancing his defences.

With a further boost to his defence, Safer∙Sephiroth turned around, where he once again found Ultimate Madoka in the distance. Flying as fast as he could, Safer∙Sephiroth approached Ultimate Madoka, waving his arm to cast more magical techniques. This time he cast a technique he had not used for a while. Heartless Angel. With his command, an angel, small in size, descended from above.

The angel had been cast to descend upon Ultimate Madoka, fully aware of the angel's presence, Ultimate Madoka tilted her head upward and seeing the small angel lowering itself to just above her head. The angel proceeded to sprinkle magic on Ultimate Madoka's head. Knowing the effectiveness of the technique with his previous use of it, Safer∙Sephiroth anticipated his foe to suddenly become severely weakened.

Completing the technique, the Angel then faded away as Ultimate Madoka observed. Safer∙Sephiroth watched with great attention, waiting for the chance to strike. Moments turned to seconds, and Ultimate Madoka wasn't showing any signs of her life force being drained. Safer∙Sephiroth, surprised and frustrated simultaneously, rushed toward Ultimate Madoka, once again using his dark red wing has a blunt object.

Anticipating a close-range attack, Ultimate Madoka launched a magical arrow. In the brief pocket of time, before she could be struck, Ultimate Madoka successfully struck her arrow at Safer∙Sephiroth's chest, the impact completely astonished Safer∙Sephiroth. Staggering backward, cancelling his attack. Safer∙Sephiroth inspected his torso, no wounds.

"You don't need to worry anymore." Ultimate Madoka implored to the One-Winged Angel. With their battle already having stretched out for some time, Ultimate Madoka wanted to end their conflict on peaceful terms. She slowly approached Safer∙Sephiroth, the two radiant beings floating on equal levels. Ultimate Madoka continued, "There is hope for everything, for everyone. You are no different". Speaking with the voice of a Goddess.

Unsure of what to even make of this, Safer∙Sephiroth just floated there, more perplexed by his opponent's genuine wishes. "I can see the entirety of past and future, even universes that might once have been and universes that might one day exist, all of them." Ultimate Madoka added. "You may wish to do these things to the planet, and bring about despair, but it is not too late for you." Making her plea to the One-Winged Angel.

Hoping that a choice will be made that benefits all, Ultimate Madoka extends her hand out to Safer∙Sephiroth, offering him the chance to make things right. Safer∙Sephiroth remained still in place, not having decided on what course of action he would take. Ultimate Madoka kept her hand reached out, remaining patient and waiting for the decision. Safer∙Sephiroth took a look around him and considered.

Looking at the floating Ultimate Madoka, Safer∙Sephiroth took only a moment to decide on his course of action, stretching his arm outward, Safer∙Sephiroth reached for the requester's hand. Ultimate Madoka was delighted and came closer. Lifting a smirk on his face, Safer∙Sephiroth got what he wanted. Now with Ultimate Madoka in reach, Safer∙Sephiroth cast Pale Horse, the beam this time having a target within point-blank range.

With his cunning, Safer∙Sephiroth was delighted. With Pale Horse directly striking Ultimate Madoka, Safer∙Sephiroth put some distance between him and Ultimate Madoka. He did not want to abandon his ambition, he was on the verge of greatness, and he was this close to carrying it out. While he only had a momentary respite to revel in his deception, Safer∙Sephiroth knew Ultimate Madoka would be upon him.

With Pale Horse dissipating, Ultimate Madoka was perfectly intact, only now she had become disheartened by his actions. "If you are going to continue bringing people despair, then I will stop you, no one will ever know your despair ever again!" Drawing her bow and arrow once again, Ultimate Madoka pulled back on the arrow, drawing upon her full power. As she pulled back, the formation of pink lines and circles once again appeared, with her in the centre of it all.

Safer∙Sephiroth looked at the formation. Reminded quickly of what power it possessed, in desperation, Safer∙Sephiroth prepared to send himself and Ultimate Madoka into another dimension. Ultimate Madoka quickly felt the reality around them beginning to alter and knew she needed to act immediately. "I have no reason to feel despair any further!"

At her peak of power, Ultimate Madoka freed her arrow. Accompanying her arrow, was a seemingly infinite number of arrows. All of them worked together in harmony, all shooting out from the pink formation, they cover an expansive array, Safer∙Sephiroth looks upon them, only for them all to bomb Safer∙Sephiroth in every direction. Safer∙Sephiroth suddenly flashed white light and began glowing vibrantly.

Parts of his body began fading away, the wings, the halos, all of it. Everything looking like it was drifting away like dust in the wind. The arrows ceased as Ultimate Madoka watched her foe deteriorate into nothing. Fading away as though he had been wiped from the universe itself. As the last few bits departed, Safer∙Sephiroth was no more.

Ultimate Madoka breathed a sigh of relief but was sorrowful. Even though in reality she had known she would be betrayed the whole time. With that in mind, Ultimate Madoka decided it was time to set things right. Not just for Sephiroth, but everyone who suffered under despair.

Sephiroth awoke abruptly, seeing nothing by pure white surrounding everything, he moved his fingers, realizing Masamune was not in his grasp, and then further realized he could not summon it to his hand. He could no longer feel the Lifestream at all. Realizing he was laid down on the ground, Sephiroth got himself up off the ground, looking to get a better view of his new environment.

Looking around, he didn't see anything or anyone, giving him only more confusion. "Where am I?" Sephiroth thought to himself. Fortunately for Sephiroth, his question had an answer. He heard a footstep, turning to where he heard it. There he finally saw other people, two. They were a few meters away, so he made his way over.

As he took his first step, he realized his body was aching. Alarmed by this, Sephiroth began to worry, he took another look at the two people nearby. They both appeared to look elsewhere, perhaps not even aware of his presence, with what strength he had, Sephiroth reached his arm to them, hoping they will realize he is here. But his body couldn't withstand it and collapsed.

An unknown amount of time later, Sephiroth finally awakens, once again on the floor, this time he awoke to see a woman tending to him. Sephiroth looked at this woman, completely unfamiliar to him. The woman smiled, relieved to see Sephiroth was awake. "Wait here, please." the woman politely asked. Sephiroth couldn't object, so he obliged. The woman stood up and walked over to someone. "He's awake now." the woman stated.

Delighted at this news, this younger girl came over to Sephiroth. She looked at him laying on the ground, Sephiroth's heart nearly skipped a beat, he recognized the girl, it was Madoka! He was so startled he almost sprung himself off the ground. Madoka smiled and happily went back to the woman. "I think it's time." Madoka declared.

Working his way back onto two feet, Sephiroth almost made it by himself, but he was aided by Madoka and the woman. Sephiroth looked at Madoka and then at the woman. "Who are you?" Sephiroth asked. Madoka and the woman looked at each other, and Madoka chimed in. "This is your mother, the one who brought you into this world." Hearing that sentence, Sephiroth's eyes widened, and he once again looked at the woman.

It was the truth, Lucrecia Crescent stood beside the son she never had the chance to hold, even as a newborn. "M-Mother?" Sephiroth mumbled. Lucrecia had never heard that word spoken to her, it sprouts a tear from her eyes, and she sobbed briefly before embracing her son. Sephiroth was conflicted within, he didn't know what to say.

He looked over toward Madoka, who remained silent, but smiled and nodded her head. Understanding her tranquil suggestion, Sephiroth hugged Lucrecia, the two remained in each other's arms for some time, both going through a myriad of emotions, all joyous. Madoka watched happily and allowed the two to take as much time as they needed.

Eventually, the two concluded their happy embrace, and Sephiroth watched Lucrecia go over and stand next to Madoka, looking at the young girl. Madoka nodded and turned around to Sephiroth, Lucrecia also looking upon her child. Madoka reached her hand out to Sephiroth. A flash in his mind reminded him this wasn't the first time she had offered this.

(Cue Portals - Avengers: Endgame)

The two smiled happily, Madoka chimed in, "You weren't the only one to suffer, many have suffered, and I will do what I can to help everyone." Sephiroth was surprised to hear this, and couldn't think of what to say. Madoka added more. "I have seen everyone who has fallen into despair, and like them, I will save you so that you don't have to worry anymore."

As Madoka delivered that sentence, more footsteps could be heard, dozens of people's footsteps. Sephiroth looked around him to see more than forty people assembled. A man wearing white clothing with black traces, a similarly dressed man wearing an eyepatch. A blue-haired swordsman with a heavy blade. A man with a princely crown dressed in blue. A man with pointed ears and white hair dressed in red.

More of them appeared. A young man with silver hair carrying many types of weapons. A man dressed in a black trench coat wearing sunglasses. A gunslinger cloaked in red, whom Lucrecia recognizes and happily smiles at. A Swedish man dressed in black and red armour. A princess in blue from hair to shoe. A spiritual youth dressed in black, sporting orange hair.

A cybernetic humanoid with silver hair, A black-haired woman who proceeded to crack her knuckles. A blue-skinned alien with a hammer at his side. A pale-skinned bald man with yellow eyes encased in body armour. A humanoid robot with blonde hair wearing a headband. A 17-year old boxer with green gloves. A man with a white cloth covering his mouth, holding a giant greatsword. A being encased with armour, holding a giant blade with an eyeball in its centre.

Soon it started looking like a real audience. With more still appearing. A red-haired woman dressed in silver armour. A warrior dressed in armour and cape with a horned helmet. A large muscular man in battle armour Perhaps the tallest one in the room. Three men all dressed in various ninja armour. A Knight encased with pitch-black armour. A young man dressed in white, with green eyes and black hair.

A blonde-haired princess with pointed ears. A regal lady with a rapier dressed in light blue with white hair. A tall man with a deep voice sporting silver hair. A ninja dressed in yellow and black. An aged martial artist with a white karate gi and red gloves. A Frenchman with groomed hair, accompanied by a being with a rapier sword. A blue-haired exalt holding a blade by his side. A young man with silver hair and red eyes, a sword resting on him.

A brown-haired boy, the youngest there, standing beside a tall white mecha. A witch dressed in red with long hair. Madoka then recognized her best friend's appearance and happily rushed over to greet her. Her blue-haired friend was happy to see her as well. Overwhelmed by the number of people, Sephiroth just stood there as Lucrecia came to his side.

All of the newly appeared people all gathered around Madoka as she spoke to all of them. Lucrecia turned to her son, "It's time for us to go". The two slowly walked forward. Hearing their footsteps, Madoka turned around, facing Sephiroth. There she reached her hand out to him. Everyone in the room looked toward Sephiroth, who had to make his decision.

A little hesitant, Sephiroth was unsure of how to proceed. Lucrecia remained by his side the entire time, imploring to him "It's alright, everyone is waiting for us". Sephiroth took a look at all the people behind Madoka, and then to Madoka herself.

Finally, Sephiroth reached his hand out and took hold of Madoka's own. With his mother at his side, Sephiroth accepted it all. And he was ready. And with Madoka taking this on board, Sephiroth was gently ushered into the group of people, where he felt welcomed by everyone. The group collectively looked up to Madoka. Who shifted into Ultimate Madoka.

With her radiance in full effect, a light began to shine bright, which everyone noticed, including Sephiroth. Soon they all faded into the light together. Sephiroth looked up to Ultimate Madoka as he felt the warm embrace of light.

In the starry canvas of space stood Planet Earth, only now it looked completely restored, the oceans blue and the clouds puffy white. Now appearing larger than any planet, Ultimate Madoka looked at the small sphere that was Earth. She rested her hands around the Earth, embracing her dearly beloved treasure.

Conclusion[]

(Cue Connect (Instrumental) - Puella Magi Madoka Magica)

Boomstick: It's over? I wasn't sure how long it was gonna last!

Wiz: Indeed. After a long-fought battle, Madoka comes out victorious. Although she may not have been as experienced a fighter as Sephiroth, her stronger abilities lead to her victory.

Boomstick: Her powers are insane! It's no wonder this fight needed to escalate into their godly forms. There's just no way around it.

Wiz: Sephiroth just couldn't match his transformations to Madoka's transformations. And regardless of what transformation he was using, he couldn't defeat Madoka. Though that didn't mean Sephiroth was entirely disadvantaged.

Boomstick: In fact, for the majority of the fight, it was in Sephiroth's favour, but those transformations really change everything.

Wiz: Since these transformations influenced the fight so greatly, we should determine who is stronger, faster and tougher.

Boomstick: In his base form, Sephiroth can strike with over 3.5 billion newtons of force. And this was before he ever fell into the Lifestream. So it's likely he could be stronger.

Wiz: Although our data doesn't account for Sephiroth after he fell into the Lifestream, he still remained that strong in his base form.

Boomstick: After his transformation into Bizarro∙Sephiroth, it's not entirely clear how much stronger he got, since he doesn't really show any good strength feats. But when he transforms into Safer∙Sephiroth, he definitely gets stronger.

Wiz: At his peak, Safer∙Sephiroth can summon a comet that can obliterate planets with ease, and then cause Super Nova. Destroying a planet like Earth requires a force of 53 quadrillion megatons. The force needed to destroy Jupiter is 493 quintillion megatons. Giving Safer∙Sephiroth a strong feat.

SPEED

Boomstick: Base form Sephy has shown he can travel at supersonic speeds, though he's proven he can outpace other 1st Class SOLDIERs, namely Zack Fair. He's also fast enough to keep up with his friends Angeal and Genesis, who had speeds similar to himself.

Wiz: After his descent into the Lifestream, Sephiroth did not necessarily get any faster physically. Even after his transformation into Bizarro∙Sephiroth, he demonstrates no speed feats to contribute. But Safer∙Sephiroth became much faster. While he doesn't show any increased speeds, we can determine how fast his comet is.

Boomstick: Covering the entire Solar System in less than 30 seconds, the comet can travel over 960 billion kilometres per hour!

DURABILITY

Wiz: Sephiroth has withstood direct impalement and tanked a strike that did 1,600 tons, and these were in his base form. Bizarro∙Sephiroth proved to be much tougher than his base form, only weakened after several parts are destroyed.

Boomstick: And since Bizarro∙Sephiroth can tank hits from everyone in Cloud's party, it's safe to say he is more durable than his base form.

Wiz: Safer∙Sephiroth is without a doubt his most durable form. Even Cloud's Ominslash cannot pierce his skin. And then there's the fact Safer∙Sephiroth vanishes into the sun during his Super Nova.

Boomstick: It's never been confirmed or denied that Safer∙Sephiroth is actually withstanding his own Super Nova. Since Safer∙Sephiroth doesn't cast illusions, unlike his base form.

Wiz: Since Super Nova happens in an alternate dimension, and he appears the one time, we will conclude for now Safer∙Sephiroth does indeed withstand the sun. And we know Super Nova's explode with a force of 10 Octillion Megatons. With these in mind, Sephiroth and his powers have measurements.

Boomstick: While a lot of Sephy's feats are backed up by real-life measurements, Madoka's are not as easy to calculate, but we've managed to find enough feats to calculate Madoka's potential.

STRENGTH

(Cue Absolute Configuration - Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion)

Wiz: While Madoka is not a physically strong fighter, she does have feats with her magic. When using Magical Squall in the Final Timeline, the arrows were able to split clouds. The kinetic energy had an output of over 5.5 Gigatons, strong enough to destroy an Island.

Boomstick: As Doppel Kriemhild, she has the power to level the entire planet. Factoring in Earth's volume, she unleashes 55 exatons of force to pulverize the whole planet. Ultimate Madoka is a very high step above her prior forms.

Wiz: Ultimate Madoka does not have any physical strength feats, but her magic reigns supreme here. At some point after her ascension, Ultimate Madoka used Shooting Star to destroy her counterpart Ultimate Kriemhild Gretchen. Beyond that, her creation of the Law of Cycles encompasses the entire Multiverse.

SPEED

Boomstick: Since all the Magical Girls gained their powers from the same Incubator, their skills are likely on the same level. But it's also worth mentioning Madoka's skills got stronger each time Homura reset time, since Madoka doesn't have a lot of speed feats, we can compare her to Homura.

Wiz: Homura was able to catch a bullet using a ribbon tied to her foot, by assessing the distance the bullet travelled and how quickly Homura moved, she comes out with Mach 619. And considering Madoka becomes faster with each timeline, we can conclude she is in the same speed range as well.

Boomstick: As Doppel Kriemhild, she would likely possess the same speed. Since there aren't any speed feats for this form. And finally, there's Ultimate Madoka.

Wiz: Ultimate Madoka essentially becomes void of speed feats because of her godly power. After she becomes a concept throughout the multiverse, she is Omnipresent.

DURABILITY

Boomstick: In her base form, Madoka's durability is already stronger than any human being. With her Soul Gem ensuring her body can withstand anything that isn't complete obliteration. Putting her durability into insane levels.

Wiz: As Doppel Kriemhild, she can withstand her power of levelling the planet, putting her durability at many exatons of force. As for Ultimate Madoka, her durability ascends to unprecedented levels. With her existence as a concept, killing her through normal means is nigh impossible.

(Cue Taenia Memoriae - Puella Magi Madoka Magica)

Boomstick: Now that we've figured out the best feats in their strongest forms, let's compare Safer∙Sephiroth and Ultimate Madoka.

SephirothMadokaBoardofWizdom

Boomstick: Holy crap it's not even comparable!

Wiz: Now these feats and measurements can be calculated and evaluated as much as possible, but these are hardly the most these characters have done. They have both become icons of villains and heroines respectively. Both striving for a similar goal, to help others. While Sephiroth was driven mad, he valued helping the Planet. And he reached the peak of what the Planet could do. On the other hand, Madoka gave up a normal life to become a concept that could rewrite the laws of the universe. After ascending to her new existence, she has reached levels of power beyond the universe. So what happens when you pit a Planet Protector against a Multiversal Guardian? Well, only one can rise above it all.

Boomstick: Sephiroth just Ultimately couldn't win this one.

Wiz: The winner is Madoka Kaname.
