Known as the Crimson Alchemist, Kimblee is a psychotic sadist who was originally a State Alchemist who was involved in the Ishval Civil War. But Kimblee's methods eventually led to his dishonorable discharge and incarceration when he used his unique brand of combat alchemy on people who were not on his government-approved kill list. However, Kimblee is given a pardon by King Bradley to act as an agent for the Homunculi.
Mindset[]
Kimblee considers his alchemically-induced explosions as works of fine art and aims to make them as "beautiful" as possible in terms of scope, destructive capability and sound - sound apparently being the most important criterion based on his oft-showcased keen ear for explosives and his manic enthusiasm for loud eruptions. Also inquisitive, apathetic observer who takes great pleasure in determining whether the will and/or strength of another with respect for those with strong will and unshakable conviction. He cares little to nothing for human lives affected or lose, even putting his life on the line.
Alchemy[]
As an alchemist, Kimblee uses the transmutation arrays tattooed on his palm to orchestrate two methods of explosions. The first method is creating a unstable imbalance of energy in whatever matter he touches, causing it to explode violently. He can have the instability flow from one place to another at his will, essentially directing localized explosions from long range. The second method involves shifting the atomic and molecular composition with a person, either completely obliterating a person or explode small portions of the body like limbs.
