Description[]

Pokemon vs Digimon, it is a battle of the plants in this very green match-up. Will Venusaur send Lillymon into the Recycle Bin, or will Lillymon make sure Venusaur will need more than a simple revive? This is Gogeta46power's 19th battle in his season 3.

Interlude[]

Gogeta: Grass... it is something that we just toss aside as being that one thing that produces us oxygen to live on our planet.

Nina: But sometimes people can use it to be their best friend.

Gogeta: Like Leaf, and her Pokemon Venusaur.

Begin Venusaur

Nina: And Mimi, and her Digimon Lillymon.

Begin Lillymon

Gogeta: I'm Gogeta and she is Nina and it is our jobs to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills too see who would win in a Death Battle!

Venusaur[]

Gogeta: The world of Pokemon! A magical place where a living ice cream is generally accepted among the people there. Wait are they ghosts that possessed ice creams and then bred, or did humans make ice creams based after the Pokemon that look quite delectable.

Nina: Yeah if you want to eat something that would taste like water at best then be my damn guest. There are many regions and areas in this place to explore such as the Alola region, which is pretty much Hawaii and the Hoenn region, which is pretty much a tropical setting.

Gogeta: But come on, all of those regions are cool and all, but all of us remember the Kanto region, the first region that I hope all of yall has played, since it was the first... wait this is a new generation and they would've played X and Y first... sucks for them XD.

Nina: X and Y grudges aside, when booting up the game you are given the choice of 3 different monsters that will aide you in your anti-peta filled quest.

Background Venusaur

Gogeta: The first one that everyone picks is Charmander, a tiny salamander thing that turns into a bigger salamander thing in Charmeleon, then into a FUCKING DRAGON, no shit people picked it, it is a fucking dragon. Too bad it is not a dragon type.

Nina: The second one and is by the way Gogeta's first Pokemon ever is Squirtle, a tiny cute turtle thing that evolves into an ugly turtle thing, and then into a giant turtle thing with FUCKING CANNONS on his back, yeah no wonder Gogeta loves him so much.

Gogeta: Oh shut the hell up, the last one, the one that is never picked is Bulbasaur, the Seed Pokemon, this little cute thing evolves into the slightly cool Ivysaur, and then evolves into WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT THING? I GOT NOTHING IT IS ATROCIOUS, IT LOOKS LIKE IT SHOULDN'T EXIST!!!!

Nina: God chill out, yeah it is hideous, but in my opinion it has a sort of charm to him, well the 1 percent of people that picked him first got the easiest one of the three to change due to how laid back its moveset is, not much strategy for it.

Gogeta: However in a combat context he uses his Special Attack for his main damage output, AKA attacks that have it so Venusaur does not physically touch the enemy, or doesn't need his own physical prowess to do damage to anyone that he is fighting.

Nina: Note that a Pokemon generally has two abilities, Venusaur having Overgrow and Clorophyll, we will be using Ovegrow for its ability since that is the ability that the starter that a beginner trainer would have if they were to just pick Bulbasaur from Professor Oak.

Arsenal Venusaur

Gogeta: Venusaur while having much better Special Attack than its normal attack still has compotent attack, it can use its bulky exterior to ram into you with attacks such as Tackle, and if he wants to take it up a notch way more he can use Double-Edge, a powerful tackle that is so strong, Venusaur will take recoil damage from it.

Nina: Even with its lower attack it can use a move such as Vine Whip, it is literally a whip, you can smack with it or use it to get to higher areas, or even grab onto people. Don't forget about the Razor Leaf, razor sharp leaves that can cut whole trees.

Gogeta: But his true force lies in the power of his special attack, with it he can use the powerful attack Petal Dance, a dance of petals that deal massive damage, with the problem that it will bring Venusaur under confusion.

Nina: But come on, we all came for Venusaur's signature move, the powerful Solar Beam! With this he uses all the energy he stored within the giant plant on his back, it isn't just decoration.  He releases the Kamehameha, anything hit by this will wish they picked Venusaur.

Gogeta: Note he stores solar energy in his back perpetually, so during the Summer he would be far more powerful than he would be in Winter, thanks to this he can use the Solar Beam much easier than another grass type such as a Maractus, note Venu still needs to charge it, it just will be at a lower charge time.

Nina: But attacking is not Venusaur's main priority, that would be using moves to either buff his own stats, heal himself, or even use abilities specifically to debuff his enemies, a prime example of this is the attack growth, which buffs its own attack and special attack.

Faults Venusaur

Gogeta: It can use Sweet Scent so his attacks can hit far more frequently, this helps with his two attack that is the bread and butter of his abilities, the sleep powder is an attack that puts the enemy to sleep for a set amount of time, and the delicious poison powder poisons the enemy, and does damage overtime. He can also use synthesis that heals him, in sunlight it heals more.

Nina: Note due to having trainer input in this battle, he has access to more moves from TMs, most notably he can learn Toxic, an ability that is pretty much Poison Powder on steroids, as it badly poisons the enemy. Also he can use Sunny Day, which means he can use Solar Beam instantly and makes it so synthesis can heal more of his health.

Gogeta: But fuck all of that, because there is an attack that is even more powerful than the dreaded Solar Beam, It is the devastating Frenzy Plant, with this Venusaur spawns many spiked plants from the ground that tracks the enemy and just completely skewers them, note after the usage of this attack will leave Venusaur vulnerable for a short amount of time.

Nina: But what is a Pokemon without a trainer, and Venusaur has quite the jailbait trainer named Leaf. She is shown to be pretty much the same as Red, having stopped the criminal organization Team Rocket and became the champion of the Kanto region in less than a year, very impressive.

Gogeta: But with the bond between Venusaur and Leaf has proven to be effective, as she can Mega Evolve Venusaur into Mega Venusaur, this transformation increases his offenses and defenses greatly, however his bulky exterior and health pool stay pretty much the same.

Nina: Also it ditches its old ability for Thick Fat, which makes it so fire and ice based attacks are completely useless against it, as he takes far less damage from those abilities, so that saves him quite a bit. Also being a grass poison type don't bring any plant based abilities to him, he kinda loves them.

Gogeta: But Venusaur isn't all sunshine, due to his bulky body he is extremely slow and a quick opponent can easily use this to their advantage. Doesn't help him that a lot of his abilities are very predictable. Also the fact that his most powerful moves also have some sort of disadvantage to them.

Nina: But even so, Venusaur has stood the test of time and has proven to be one of the most beloved Pokemon ever made.

Lillymon[]

Gogeta: Mimi Tachikawa is a pretty simple girl, living life normally with no real special things happening to her. She lived a quite pampered life however, being a kid of a wealthy family, but this all changed when she went on a simple camping trip with her friends.

Nina: It was supposed to be a happy funtime, fun for the whole family and such, however that same day it started something very magical happened that would change her life for the better (or the worse depending on how you think of it)

Gogeta: I would say something original but the Pokemon vs Digimon Death Battle said it perfectly, a giant rainbow hole appeared from the sky and shot Tamogachis at everyone. Then it suddenly flung them into cyberspace, you really can't explain it better than that.

Background Lillymon

Nina: Gogeta your laziness is showing, you cannot think of a damn joke for once in your damned life can you. I would rant about you a little more however honestly there is no better way to explain what happened on that trip other than that.

Gogeta: Upon entering the cyberspace however the gang met a specific group of Digimon, all of them were pretty much little adorable things that really couldn't do much in combat, the little one that Mimi gotten was Tanemon, a little Digimon that is pretty much grass.

Nina: But come on, this little thing is cute and all, but where is the power, I need to know all about that whole Digital Power or some shit. Well luckily Digimon can Digivolve through the power of friendship, yay my favorite kind of energy, anyway when needed Tanemon did this, and turned into Palmon!

Gogeta: What the fuck is that thing, it is like a weird cactus thing, god can any of these monsters actually have designs that arern't hard to look at, it is kinda cute... but it is also just extremely fucking ugly at the same damn time.

Nina: Palmon is considered by many as a rookie level Digimon, so it is extremely weak and completely useless. However she still has abilities that have her fight and based on all the original rookie level Digimon she is easily the most versatile of all of them.

Gogeta: Looks aside she is able to use the deadly Poison Ivy, pretty much can wrap around an opponent to paralyze them. There is also the Plant Shock, a bunch of razor sharp leaves attack the enemy, but her most deadly ability is the Root Breaker, which can drain the enemy of their energy.

Arsenal Lillymon

Nina: Also to ward off enemies that are much bigger than her and could easily stomp her she can releave a foul stench, so that it can hopefully escape the enemy, or even do something that could ever give her the win in the fight she is in.

Gogeta: With their friendship growing closer and closer, more and more powerful enemies appeared, so Palmon learned to Digivolve even further, and she turned into a giant fucking cactus with boxing gloves.... do I even need to rant about this design.

Nina: Don't forget about that little orange tuft of hair on the top of her hair, it adds literally nothing but it is a litttle cute I guess? I mean take a guess on what she can do, no she is a cactus with boxing gloves, tell me what the hell her abilities would be?

Gogeta: Well let me guess, because she looks like a cactus she can shoot needles out of their body, even though cacti in the real world don't have the ability to do that, by the way us here writing these battles, if there are cacti that can do that we don't care.

Nina: Well yeah, she can use the Needle Spray, with this ability she spins around and shoots sharp needles out with in many different directions, stabbing at her enemies... or maybe they are blunt who the hell knows, she can make her punches harder with very hardened needles however.

Gogeta: But there is more than that, she can use the Lightspeed Jabbing to punch her enemy at blitzing speeds, note the name is lightspeed, however that speed is most likely a hyperbole since she has no other feats that support her going at that speed.

Nina: That is cool and all, but if Togemon wants to do deal some poppin' damage, then she uses the powerful Coconut Punch, which are a bunch of jabs that have the power of falling coconuts, if these coconuts were given by a giant cactus.

Gogeta: Wait.. im getting a premonition, she is a Champion level digivolution and there are still stronger enemies, she gets a transformation doesn't she, with the good ol' power of friendship no less, of course she does.

Nina: Yeah but this time she is an Ultimate Level Digimon, and only came around when Mimi's crest of Purity had shine brightly at that moment, when Togemon was getting her ass beat by a giant black fire breathing dinosaur, obvious a fair match right there.

Gogeta: Ok lay it on me, what plant abomination do we have here. (The screen shows Togemon digivolving into Lillymon) Oh... um.... a girl.... what the fuck? Well I guess I have no complaints here, not overdesigned thank fuck, but she really doesn't look like a cactus.

Nina: Inconsistent designs aside Lillymon is the fully digivolved version of Togemon and boasts even far more powers than the other 2, in her first outing she proves what she is, a very speedster with a hit and run tactic for her main fighting.

Faults Lillymon

Gogeta: She is fucking adorable.... anyway being the Ultimate Form for Palmon, she is stronger and faster than Togemon, a champion level Digimon, this is proven when she is shown to overpower even the powerful Dark Tyrannomon.

Nina: By overpowering you mean flying in circles around the dinosaur and pacifying it, then yeah, she definitely overpowered him, well she has wings, so that is already a plus she has compared to Palmon or Togemon.

Gogeta: But there is far more to this plant than meets the eye, don't let her cute looks deceive you, she really is packing some real heat under her... well I don't really know what it is, all we know it, is that it is called the Flower Cannon.

Nina: With this, she is able to shoot you from quite a range, so not only is she like fighting a fast fly, she can even shoot shit at you so you need to try to hit her, while trying to dodge the small blasts she shoots out of her arm cannon thing.

Gogeta: She can wrap you in flowers and make it so you cannot move as well as before, also if you have a virus within you it instantly cures you, however that won't really help her if she is facing a person from the real world, so sucks for her I guess.

Nina: Other than that Lillymon really doesn't have much to help her in combat, she has other abilities but specifically to her she really doesn't aid her in combat, however that isn't too bad when it comes to her run n gun tactics.

Gogeta: Let's talk about Mimi for a sec, she really isn't that smart, she is a pampered brat that is pretty scared of a lot of things. However to help her best friend in Lillymon, she will forget that to protect her, even if the odds are far against her.

Nina: I guess when it comes to that Lillymon and Mimi were friends to the end, this is proven when they defeated Apocolymon, pretty much the Digimon equivalent to Satan, or is that Devimon... eh Digimon is weird.

Gogeta: Although these forms are not the best in the world, Palmon is extremely weak and doesn't have the best combat opportunity. Togemon has almost no range in her abilities. Also Lillymon has great range but lacks diversity for combat.

Nina: When there are digital terrors amuck, Lillymon and Mimi are ready to defend what is right.

Gogeta: Wait, we don't know what her final form look lik- (The screen shows Rosemon) Well... Ill brb, I need to..... go to the bathroom....

Battle[]

(Leaf is shown capturing a Heracross)

Leaf: Return Venusaur! You did great, woohoo! This is a great catch!

(Humming can be heard from the distance)

Leaf: Huh, didn't think there would be people this far out in the woods.

(She looks over at Palmon, sitting on a log softly humming to herself)

Leaf: Woah! A Pokemon I never seen before

(She pulls out her Pokedex)

Dex: Caterpie, the Worm Pokemon, Its voracious appetite compels it to devour leaves bigger than itself without hesitation. It releases a terribly strong odor from its antennae.

Leaf: What no, the other Pokemon.... wait.. that must mean not even Oak knows what it is! I new Pokemon!

(With a bumb of victory, she walks over to Palmon closer with a pen and notepad and writes down things she notices, and Palmon notices her and blankly stares)

Leaf: Shorter, green, cactus like, seems very docile.

Palmon: Um.... may I help you?

Leaf: WOAH!!! IT CAN TALK!!

Palmon: Who are you?

(Mimi shows up)

Mimi: Palmon! I'm back.... who is this?

Palmon: I don't really know, she kinda just walked up and started writing.

Leaf: We have to battle!

Mimi: Battle? Heavens no.

Leaf: When two trainers lock eyes, it's a battle!

Palmon: Umm... Mimi, she won't leave until we accept...

Mimi: You must have a Digimon also with you, well who is?

Leaf: GO! VENUSAUR!

(Venusaur gets sent out)

Venusaur: Venusaur!

Mimi: Well... alright that is big, hopefully that isn't it's first form.

FIGHT!!!!!

Leaf: Go! Venesaur! Hit them with a Tackle!

Venusaur: Venu!

(Venusaur runs up to Palmon in an attempt to tackle her but is dodged abruptly and Palmon is hanging off a tree and climbs on it. She is now jumping from branch to branch in an attempt to confuse Leaf and Venusaur, but to no avail when Venusaur headbutts one of the trees knocking the poor Rookie Level Digimon down "Vine Whip" Leaf shouts as a bunch of whip-like vines hit Palmon sending her back right into a tree. Palmon gets up and shakes it off even if it is shown to have bruises all over her body already)

Leaf: You ok Palmon! Palmon:

Yeah... it's my turn! Plant Shock! (

A bunch of leaves come from every direction stabbing through Venusaur dealing minmal damage at best, after this Venusaur looks more confused than actually hurt, "Take Down!" Leaf says as he hits Palmon's gut, sending her flying right into a tree, she gets up shaking it off and decides to give the Plant Shock one more try as the leaves once more annoy Venusaur as opposed to damaging, Palmon runs away knowning that is the best strategy when fighting someone she clearly has a bad chance against)

Leaf: Hey! Get your Pokemon back here!

Mimi: What is a Pokemon? Whatever it doesn't matter, Palmon baby!

Palmon: Mimi... can we stop this?

Mimi: No worries, all we have to do is turn the tide in our favor... get it?

Palmon: Oh yeah, I forgot hahaha...

(The Digimon theme starts to play)

Palmon: Palmon... digivolve to..... TOGEMON!

(Togemon rips a tree up from its roots and bashes Venusaur with it, sending him flying across the forest, it catches itself with two vines from its back, "Alright, now Double Edge" she shouts as Venusaur headbutts Togemon with full force, damaging himself in the process, Togemon gets up and stomps the ground shaking it beneath him causing unbalance, "Coconut Punch" Togemon says as she punches Venusaur deep into the ground, "Get up Venusaur!" Leaf says as Venusaur pulls himself out of the ditch and shakes the dirt off his head, "Now Solarbeam" Venusaur is charging it up)

Leaf: Now fire!

(The Solar Beam gets fired out of the plant on top of Venusaur but fortunately for the cactus she narrowly dodges the giant beam, then when Venusaur is resting from the big attack Togemon punts him to a tree, but he shortly gets up and Leaf orders him to use Razor Leaf, sending razor sharp leaves towards the giant cactus, cutting her up a slight bit, but nothing she hasn't tanked before, but before she recovers more sharp leaves hit her, damaging her even more. Togemon angry chucks another tree at Venusaur, this time hitting him, dealing a slight amount of damage)

Leaf: Don't worry Venusaur! Use Synthesis!

Mimi: You alright Togemon?

Togemon: Yeah I'm fine, I got this!

(Togemon bashes Venusaur with the side of her body, then lifts him up with a giant winded up punch, but after that Leaf orders a synthesis to happen, so Venusaur is back to full health and is ready to go on with the fight, he is then ordered to use another Razor Leaf to cut up the giant cactus, however she is ready when she punches down the leaves coming in to chop her to pieces. She counters the attack by going for a punch however Leaf orders a dodge in which Venusaur barely does, she then orders Venusaur to use Take Down, which hits the grassy goliath down to the ground, causing a big shockwave and dazing her. Giving Venusaur ample opportunity to catch his breath)

Venusaur: *Roars*

Leaf: All right!

(Togemon barely gets up and shakes off the damage, she kicks some dust right into Venusaur's eyes blinding him, with the subtle distraction she then does 3 quick jabs but he quickly recovers his eyesight and is ordered to use Growth, increasing the power of his attacks, with his new power he goes in with a Double-Edge based on the orders of his trainer. However he is still overpowered by Togemon when she holds him back and throws him back causing him to flip on the ground and getting hurt from the recoil of the Double-Edge when he used it)

Leaf: Get up Venusaur!

Mimi: Woohoo! Alright!

(Venusaur gets up and shakes the damage off, he is ordered to use another Growth, thus increasing his power even more, Togemon uses the Lightspeed Jabbing to close the distance between her and Venusaur and jabs at him at blinding speeds, this time during the jabbing Leaf orders Venusaur to use Sweet Scent, confusing her with its intoxicating aroma, she is enthrawled with it while Venusaur then hits her with a giant blow in Take Down, taking some recoil damage in the process. To make use of this giant lead Leaf then has him use yet another Take Down dealing even more damage)

Mimi: Oh no! My poor Togemon!

Togemon: Don't worry Mimi, I'm fine, it's that annoying healing, I have to find a way to get through that.

(Quickly Togemon punches the air in front of Venusaur causing a gust of air to distract him which succeeds to can extent as she is able to get one giant jab off before he regainst posture and Leaf has him use Vine Whip to wrap over her arm restraining it, however she uses this to her advantage when Togemon grabs the vines and swings Venusaur around like a ragdoll, first she smashes him to the ground multiple times and then she hits him through multiple trees)

Togemon: I would help you, but you seem a bit... tied up at the moment.

Leaf: That doesn't even fit!

(Togemon with Venusaur still in her hand scratches him across the ground causing a crater where he is dragged, then she bringes him toward her in a while motion to end it with a giant punch, ripping and destroying the vine. She then runs and goes for a jab, but before it lands Leaf has Venusaur use Petal Blizzard to distract and harm Togemon, sending her flying backward, smashing in the ground with a giant thud, with dust being sent in all directions blinding both Mimi and Leaf for a second, Leaf has Venusaur use synthesis, once again healing him through the pain)

Togemon: HEY! Can you stop being a coward and fight me without that!

(While Togemon is distracted being angry at Leaf at using Synthesis on Venusaur, she already commanded him to use one more Growth increasing his power, she then has the Seed Pokemon use Double Edge, sending Togemon seemingly over the horizon, however it is only over trees, it is obvious on her face that she is extremely angry at this point as she literally punches the ground causing a giant crater to appear and the shockwave can be felt all the way to the Pokemon and her Trainer, even Mimi is taken aback by the giant cactus' sudden mood swing)

Mimi: Listen Togemon, please calm down...

Togemon: *sighs* yeah you're right, come on let's beat their butts!

(With a new sight in mind Togemon quickly uses the Lightspeed Jabbing to close the distance between the two plants one again, with that she uses the Coconut Punch to harm him quite a lot sending him flying to a tree, which cracks it in half, whilst she is on the ground "Needle Spray!" Togemon screams as many hardened needles stab Venusaur causing him to stutter and recoil a lot while taking quite a bit of damage, after that Togemon punches the ground causing a slab of the ground to shoot Venusaur up in the sky, and then once he falls to her sight, she jabs him with all of her might)

Leaf: No!! Venusaur are you ok?

Venusaur: Venu... Venusaur!

Leaf: Great! Now Sunny Day!

(The sun now shines brightly, causing everyone to shield their eyes from how bright it is. Leaf orders Venusaur to use Growth, thanks to the harsh sun he gets an even bigger boost of power, when she orders him to use Double-Edge, Togemon is ready to punch through it however, this time Venusaur is the one that is shown to be the stronger one of the two as he is able to hit through the punch sending her back, "Vine Whip" Leaf orders as the giant cactus is slapped mercilessly on the ground with even more power than before, this combo ends in a giant tackle from Venusaur)

Mimi: Togemon! What happened?

Togemon: I'm not sure, he just got miraculously stronger.

(Togemon standing up and surprised at the sudden power spike from Venusaur, she punches the air a few times to get her next jab ready, but as she is distracted from that the Seed Pokemon has already been ordered to use the Vine Whip once more, this time she is ready and catches the whips again, however there is now a catch involved, since Togemon is stuck in place and has now way to counter the Razor Leaf, where Venusaur has already been ordered to use, suddenly she gets cut all over her body with those sharp leaves)

Leaf: Yes! Keep it up Venusaur!

Venusaur: *has a happy expression*

(Togemon even more injured from the attacks starts panting, getting worried that this fight may not go as well as she at first anticipated, she grabs another tree and tosses it, with it being narrowly dodged by the frog dinosaur thing, she then tries to think of a strategy and gets the idea that the sun is the main source for all of his powers however.... this information is completely useless to her. She ponders for a minute confusing both Leaf and Venusaur)

Mimi: Are you ok Togemon?

Togemon: I think I am.

(Venusaur gets ordered to use Solar Beam which he somehow misses when it is fired at full force instantly from the top of the tree on the top of his body. Togemon is again taken aback to the sheer power of the attack, she knew if hit by that kind of power it would spell out trouble, so being safe she uses another Needle Spray, however Venusaur counters this when his trainer has him use Razor Leaf, in front of the trainer and the Digi Destined it is just an onslaught of smoke, due to all of the impacts from the floral clash in the end somehow Togemon is shown to be the victor of the clash)

Leaf: No Venusaur! Go ahead with synthesis! (Venusaur uses synthesis, healing back a lot of the damage that he sustained from the clash, it is further amplified from the harsh sunshine raining down upon the combatents, with his fresh health, she orders him to use another Take-Down, which is so powerful when it connects with Togemon, a slight tremor can be felt, knocking both Mimi and Leaf down to the ground from the sheer magnitude. Both of them get up brushing off their clothes at as they both see Togemon seething in pain on the ground and Leaf does a victory pose) Leaf: Alright! Mimi: TOGEMON! Leaf: Let's end this!

Go with a Solarbeam! (With the hearing of that word, Togemon knew she could do nothing to dodge this goliath beam, she shuts her eyes knowing it is going to suck. With a giant flash of light the beam shoots out, while it is barreling toward Togemon there is a crater where the beam is being fired, with a giant explosion Togemon is hit, causing her to quiver in pain on the ground, barely standing up, she is in no condition to fight anymore, even if she insists on fighting)

Togemon: I got this, don't worry Mimi! Mimi: Stop Togemon! Togemon: You know what to do!

Mimi: *sighs* I do Togemon: Togemon

Digivolve to!

(Suddenly a giant storm of petals come from the top of her head as she spins around with lights coming from her eye sockets and mouth. Then a giant bud comes from the top of her head from the little tuft of hair with it a bunch of beautiful flower petals start to tain down from it, finally the bud opens up, revealing the final evolution of Togemon)

Lillymon: Lillymon!

Leaf: Another form, I thought Mega Evolution happened once.

Lillymon: Alright, time to show this guy who's boss!

(She flies right up to Venusaur's face, gives a little wink, after that Leaf orders him to use a point-blank Solarbeam which he does do it immediately, she quickly dodges and gives him a kick into a tree. "Vine Whip!" Leaf shouts for Venusaur to use which the vines come out but she effortlessly dodges all of them, she flies up in the air where the vines are just a hair out of his reach and does a little laugh. She then flies down and circles around him, he tries to use Petal Blizzard via Leaf's orders but however again is missed when she dodges it without effort)

Lillymon: Missed me! You gotta try harder than that!

(After that line, Venusaur and Lead are infuriated, as shown when their head gets covered in stress marks, a storm of Razor Leaves go after her, however since he is so angry at that comment, they are out of control one nearly hits Mimi, however Lillymon flies over and catches it and throws it to a tree, cutting it in half, the fall of which falls on a squirrel killing it... poor thing didn't even deserve it, just the writer lost his track of thought during this paragraph)

Leaf: Aww... poor squirrel...

(Lillymon looks mad at Venusaur, since he nearly decapitated her Digi Destined, she clenches her hands together and out pops a cannon, Leaf orders Venusaur to use Solarbeam, which he fires it, while that is barreling toward Lillymon, she shouts "Flower Cannon" and a blast shoots at Venusaur, both of them clash and the Flower Cannon bullet wins out, going through the beam and it hits Venusaur, sending him flying and hitting against a tree, nearly fainted from just one blast)

Lillymon: Huh, didn't take that much effort.

Leaf: Venusaur!

Venusaur: Ven... u...saur.....

Leaf: You're fine buddy! We got this!

(She takes out a mega stone, which she uses, now a shininng light is coming out of Venusaur, interesting both Lillymon and Mimi as they turn around, they both look at each other knowing the battle was not won yet, they look on confused. "He's Digivolving!" Mimi shouts as both her and Lillymon get a little scared, when the shining is over Mega Venusaur comes out, bringing out a big roar, causing a few trees to fall down in the process, blowing away Mimi but Lillymon catches her in time)

Lillymon: Wait... it can't be a digivolution, his appearence hasn't changed that much

Leaf; What is digivolution, this is Mega Evolution!

(With the new power Venusaur uses Vine Whip from the order of Leaf, however Lillymon flies up sticking her tongue out as she dodges the attacks, one whip almost hits but she dodges just in time, seeing an opportunity in the attack she grabs it and whips it to the side, sending the Mega Venusaur flying to the side, but he gets up quickly shrugging off the damage and redies up to deal major damage to the flying plant girl, Leaf has Venusaur use Venusaur use Synthesis, healing the damage from any attack Lillymon has done, she is angered and flies down to try to yell at Leaf)

Lillymon: Alright come on! How many times are you going to heal him!

Leaf: *giggles* Venusaur use Toxic!

Lillymon: Huh!?

(Lillymon gets hit by it, causing it to badly poison her, she feels the damage, but it really isn't too much yet. She shrugs it off and kicks Venusaur back, but he catches himself when Leaf orders him to use Solarbeam, but is dodged easily and he is hit once more by the Flower Cannon, but this time he endures the pain and it ready to keep on going, to the dismay of the Digimon combatents. Leaf looks at Mimi confused why she is just standing on the sidelines and not really getting into the fight, she takes her mind off that however when Lillymon kicks some sand in her eyes)

Leaf: Hey what the heck!

(Lillymon looks happy as she just found out the secret of winning, she gets ready to do another attack but is surprised when Venusaur fires a Solarbeam, hitting her, sending her flying into the sky. Leaf had mouthed it to her while she was distracted with Venusaur getting up, in the air she jumps off the giant beam and looks down, surprised she got shot up well over 100 meters in the air, she scratches her head but realizes that this will really help her win the fight)

Leaf: Dang, you sent her up high up there, will she come down?

(Venusaur shrugs)

Mimi: *gasps* WHAT DID YOU DO!

Leaf: Win... I think.

(That is soon interupted when Lillymon crashes down on the ground and glares at Venusaur, she shoots a bullet of her cannon which causes a smoke cloud to appear in front of Venusaur distracting him. Lillymon grabs him from under himself, confusing both him and Leaf, before the trainer can say anything she carries Venusaur high up in the sky, out of ears reach from Leaf, in retaliation Venusaur head butts her, he continuously does that harming her quite a bit, but after she she reaches even above the clouds and spins around and around, launching him straight to the ground)

Lillymon: Whew... *cough* that should do it!

(Venusaur crashes to the ground near Leaf, the shockwave knocking her to a tree, she looks at the pain he is in and almost cries, but holds it in as she has him use Synthesis, he gets up and shakes his head, startled by that shock, blindly she has him use a Solarbeam, it fires in the sky, but Lillymon saw it and she dodges, more and more the Solarbeams come in the hopes to shoot her down, but all of them get evaded quite easily, another one misses and she gets the bright idea to fall down, pretending that she got hit by it, she crashes down to the ground)

Leaf: Alright we got her!

Mimi: Lillymon!!!

(Lillymon gets up giddy that she fooled everyone, and everyone just crashes to the ground in an over-the-top anime way, Lillymon is a little saddened by the lacklusted responses, nonetheless she tries to fire her Flower Cannon at Venusaur, but is interupted by her coughing, she is finally getting the feeling of the Toxic taking over, she kneels on the ground from it but then shakes it off and gets ready, however is bashed from Venusaur, it was a double-edge, it hurt her a lot, she flies up  to try to get away)

Leaf: Great! It's time to put this flower to rest! USE FRENZY PLANT!

Lillymon: Uh oh!

(The roots rise up from the air chasing down the flying plant, she continues to dodge it, afterward the forest is filled with the vines, Mimi and Leaf look around at the destruction of it. They are both slightly angry at their partners but sigh as they know it has to happen. Lillymon flies near Venusaur, he sees this as ample opportunity to send two roots impaling Lillymon's legs, causing blood to rush out of them she falls down to the ground weak, laying next to a tree, as that happens the sun fades away)

Mimi: Lillymon!!!

Lillymon: Welp Mimi... *starts to tear up* I guess this is it....

Leaf: USE SOLARBEAM!

(Venusaur charges up the beam, Lillymon closes her eyes crying. Then suddenly a female shout can be heard from the distance, she quickly opens her eyes realizing Mimi is rushing at Venusaur with a stick. Venusaur gets impaled by the stick to the eye, he starts to gush blood and shakes her up. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING" Leaf screams as she gets tackled by Mimi, the Pokemon is confused looking around, before Leaf can say one more order her mouth gets covered, as they are fighting Lillymon wipes her tears and charges up her cannon once more, firing it right at Venusaur, blowing the plant off, after that she is exhausted and reverts back into Palmon)

Palmon: I must power through it... I won't let Mimi down!

(Palmon weakly goes toward Venusaur, he is seething in pain, she jumps up impaling his hard, causing even more blood to come out. She uses her other claw to impale his head, and uses the rest of her strength to rip his brain out, killing him instanly, however Palmon faints from the poisoning)

Mimi: Oh Palmon!

Leaf: NOOOOOOO VENUSAUR!!!

Mimi: We'll get you recovered no worries!

(Palmon is seen waking up at a hospital as Leaf is mourning the death of her best friend she knew since it was a baby)

Analysis[]

Gogeta: Uh..... ouch?

Nina: Jesus, what kind of monsters are we to make that happen to such a good Pokemon as Venusaur?

Gogeta: I mean yeah, unfortunately for our favorite grass type, he was facing a Digimon, which is usually never a good matchup for them.

Nina: Note we said usually, cuz this fight was pretty damn close in all honesty, this could go either way to be honest for one second.

Gogeta: However if you put us at gunpoint and made up pick a winner, we would have to say Mimi and Palmon, for a few glaring reasons.

Nina: Overall once he is all buffed up with growths and Mega Evolves, Venusaur is far more powerful than even Lillymon, however Lillymon is used to facing people that are far more powerful than even her, so it really did not matter in the long run of the fight.

Gogeta: To add on to that we can say with Venusaur's variety of moves, Lillymon will really be shaking in her boots...er... wait how the fuck does she have boots, she shouldn't really have boots should she?

Nina: Does it really matter, whatever yeah he can not only bring the pain with his own physical moves, if he wants to he can just simply heal himself in combat, with no worries in the slightest of the damage, or even ruin her with his poison attacks such as Poison Powder or Toxic.

Gogeta: Not only that, Leaf was actually more of a strategist than Mimi, Mimi just stands in the sidelines most of the time and doesn't really do much, while Leaf is giving the orders for Venusaur to use his powerful attacks.

Nina: However, that is one of the main reasons why Lillymon walks away our winner, is the difference between a Pokemon to its trainer, and the Digimon to its partner.

Gogeta: Yeah, Venusaur all his life required Leaf to give him orders and never once in his life has actually thought for himself in combat, while Lillymon always fights herself while Mimi just sits in the sidelines watching.

Nina: Doesn't help that Lillymon is FAR faster than Venusaur, I mean look at the poor guy, he cannot even reach his Doritos, I want to give his a little pat on the head.

Gogeta: Lillymon can also fly, making it so Venusaur will have a lot of trouble even reaching the fairy plant thing anyway, only Solarbeam can do that, but she is more than capable of dodging that.

Nina: Lillymon was also a bit more experienced than Venusaur, having fought in many battles througout her life, while again, Venusaur was only fighting at the volition of Leaf.

Gogeta: And doesn't help Venusaur's case that Mimi could most definitely jump in to save her best friend cuz y'know, it's her best friend.

Nina: While Venusaur did have ways to power himself up, he has zero way to make himself faster or increase his durability, other than Mega Evolving.

Gogeta: Note a starter Pokemon, the one Leaf has, cannot have a hidden ability, so there is no way that Venusaur could have Chlorophyll.

Nina: Also look at a lot of Venusar's strongest moves, look at them closely, what do they all have in common. Come on guess.

Gogeta: Oh yeah! The moves all have consequences, Frenzy Plant makes you recharge, Double-Edge damages you, and Solarbeam requres a charge, poor Frog Dinosaur.

Nina: Wait, why didn't the poison kill Palmon?

Gogeta: Simple my friend, poison in Pokemon only faints the enemy, so they live, thus rendering that argument for the writing invalid.

Nina: Wow... it really looks like Venusaur's death was really deSPORable.

Gogeta: Fucking christ.... the winner is Mimi and her Digimon Palmon.

Mimi and Palmon win
